It runs from 6:30-8:00pm. You may purchase tickets in advance or at the event itself. Come have a fun family night and a chance to win some awesome baskets. We will hold our Beginning Strings Demonstration Lesson on Monday, February 27 th at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. This is an opportunity for our beginning strings students to showcase their new skills. It shows the audience the structure of a typical string lesson and informational to those in attendance. Now that we have had some snow and it actually feels like winter, I thought I would share some winter safety tips for students. If your kids decide to go sledding, make sure you know about the hill where they will be playing. Is it steep or covered with trees? If so, it's not a good location for sledding. Also, watch out for hills with rocks or those near busy roads. Sledding injuries can be very serious, resulting in broken bones and trauma to the abdomen, head, and neck. So it's wise to supervise your kids when they go sledding. Experts also suggest having kids wear helmets to help prevent head injuries. Before they hit the slopes with a snowboard or ski, make sure your kids are wearing helmets and protective goggles. Skiers' safety bindings (the attachment that secures the ski boot to the ski) should be checked yearly, and snowboarders should wear gloves with built-in wrist guards. All equipment should fit well. Just a reminder from Miss Brett that sneakers are best for PE class. With this weather many of the students are wearing boots to school. They are great for keeping students feet warm and dry while outside, please be sure to pack a pair of sneakers in their backpacks in case they have PE that day. We do have a few pairs of extra sneakers here for students to wear if they forget but there are limited sizes and quantities. If you have any extra sneakers at home that your child does not wear or does not fit into anymore and you are ready to part ways with them, please donate them and we will add them to Miss Brett s basket. All sneakers are welcome!
