APEX CAMPS SUNSHINE COAST LOCATION - Apex Camps Sunshine Coast is a destination to delight. Ideally located in Mudjimba on the breathtaking Sunshine Coast and nestled between the pristine beach and the spectacular Maroochy River and Conservation Park. ACCOMMODATION Sleeps up to 220 guests in air conditioned comfort, dormitory style with separate individual teacher and supervisor rooms. ACCOMMODATION Apex Camps Sunshine Coast has three well-appointed accommodation blocks and can comfortably cater for school groups up to 220 guests in total. All accommodation blocks are fully air conditioned and heated as required. Laird Building Proud Building Laird Building - Single storey, reverse cycle air conditioned accommodation block for up to 104 people, consisting of four dormitories. Each dormitory sleeps 24 in the dorm and two in a Supervisors Room with 4 supervisor rooms available. There are two bathrooms with a shower and toilet in each for use by supervisors. External bathrooms are located 5 meters out of the Laird building. There is a large Common Room (15.7m x 7.5m) which is equipped with a TV (with USB), DVD player, chairs, white board and can seat approximately 100 people. Blue Room The Blue Room is newly renovated, fully air conditioned and disability friendly. Set up with fully accessible disability friendly bathrooms and two main dorm rooms, each sleeping 14 guests. Separate supervisor room within each dorm for privacy. The Blue Room has a total of 30 beds. Proud Building - Double storey reverse cycle air conditioned accommodation block for up to 88 people, consisting of four separate dormitories. Each dorm sleeps 20, plus a Supervisor room that sleeps two with twin bed accommodation. Each section has a self-contained bathroom consisting of two toilets and two showers. The downstairs dormitory (Kookaburra Dorm) has wheel chair accessible toilet and shower facilities. Next to the Proud Building is the Proud Common Room (10 m x 10 m) equipped with seats and tables, a TV, DVD player and white board. CATERING Onsite Chef provides the highest quality catering for all students, teachers & supervisors at very reasonable prices. As a fully catered camp we can provide breakfasts, morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas, dinners & desserts. All menus have been specially designed to incorporate a nutritional and satisfying meal, that is also absolutely delicious! The Chef incorporates seasonal elements into the menus and locally sourced fresh produce is utilised where ever possible. Special Diets and Occasions : Special occasions, such as birthdays, may be catered for if arranged prior to attendance at camp. We also cater for all special dietary needs at no extra cost, so please advise these in advance.

ACTIVITIES We invite schools to choose from our exciting, and sometimes thrilling, range of awesome onsite activities. Alternatively why not let one of our qualified staff tailor a programme to suit your exact school desired outcomes. Risk assessments are available for activities on the website. Choose from a large range of active recreation and curriculum/education based activities. Each activity session is 1 hour 50 minutes, with a total of 8 activity sessions over a standard 3 day / 2 night camp. All activity prices are available upon request. Fully qualified and experienced activity program staff and facilitators. ADVENTURE SKILLS HIGH ROPES & FLYING FOX (PREMUM ACTIVITY) The ultimate in adventure! Challenge the kids on our awe-inspiring and completely safe High Ropes Course! Featuring two parallel runs with a central Flying Fox. Developed to encourage communication and team work, conquer personal barriers, all while the ground support and encourage success. Suitable for Grade 7 to Adults. MID ROPES & FLYING FOX The unique design of our ultimate Mid-Ropes course allows individuals of all ages and abilities to take part creating personal challenges, while building supportive teams and personal growth. Students then have the option of climbing up and flying down on the Flying Fox, a guaranteed highlight of the activity. MOUNTAIN BIKING The picturesque bush location is breath taking as your students ride direct from the camp to experience the beauty of the local forestry trails and take in the striking coastal scenery. Excellent trained instructors. ROCK CLIMBING Be impressed by the largest Rock Climbing Tower in South-East Queensland! Standing at 12 thrilling meters high, this onsite activity will delight and challenge your students, encouraging them to reach new heights, literally! Catering from beginners to expert climbers our rock climbing wall is sure to be a hit. CANOEING Canoeing encourages the development of communication, support and teamwork, while having fun and developing an understanding and appreciation of our rivers and their surrounding environments. INFLATABLE WATER PARK Extreme levels of fun are just a short walk away at Red Jacket Aqua Fun Park. Bring your students together (and teachers) in an exciting and interactive way with spills, thrills and laugher inevitable in a safe, and fully supervised water environment.

INTERMEDIATE SKILLS RAFT BUILDING Conducted on the stunning Maroochy River, a short walk from camp, Raft Building involves group problem solving, teamwork and construction skills, and a little friendly competition. Students construct rafts from resources provided and complete set challenges using their vessels. This is a fun and often wet session. FENCING Fencing is a unique opportunity and an interactive team based activity where participants learn the history of the sport, practice some fun pirate skills and Olympic style duals. Fun team challenges finish off the session where everyone gets to test out their new skills. SOFT SKILLS ARCHERY This is one of the most popular traditional school camp activities, this one is sure to hit the mark! BEACH GAMES Fun and laughter is assured, and even the most energetic campers will be worn out. Conducted on our stunning patrolled beach, just a short walk from camp. NOTE: This activity does not involve free swimming. BUSH SKILLS Develop skills and knowledge about surviving in the bush, camp craft and emergency situations. Students will participate in fire lighting (no matches!), shelter construction, damper making navigation and more. CATAPULTS Incorporating the history and the use of catapults in medieval times, students are taught basic knot tying skills and design so that they can build their own team catapult. Sponges are then launched to test skill. MUD PIT CHALLENGE Be inspired by our challenging Mud Pit Course! With a strong focus on team work and communication, students work through rope swings, cargo nets, tyres and an exciting mud trench. This is the perfect activity for anyone with a sense of adventure and fun and a willingness to get a little muddy. FIELD GAMES Includes all enjoyed field games such as Soccer, AFL, Rugby, Cricket and Lacoste. FISHING Relax by the river and wet a line in hope of landing that big catch. All equipment is supplied and instructed. LOW ROPES AND TRUST INITIATIVES Cables, logs and ropes run throughout the trees for participants to challenge themselves, approximately 30cm off the ground. This activity requires team trust as participants do not wear harnesses therefore the use of spotting by team mates is a must.

ORIENTEERING Hand out the compasses and we re set for fun in the sun learning how to find your place in space. Includes compass use, pacing, recording data & working as a team. Get students communicating effectively. RADIO ROGAIN day or night activity A timed, competitive challenge focusing on communication, spatial awareness & group dynamics. Students are provided walkie talkies and a site map identifying the location of check points. TEAM BUILDERS Together Everyone Achieves More as students rise to the challenge of many, often hilarious, adventurous scenarios. Educationally, developing the team functioning (Communication, Co-operation, Commitment, Care & Concern. BUSH TREKKING Trek through conservation reserves while being educated on the ecology of the area; ecosystems, adaptations of organisms, transition of environments, bush tucker & remedies, catchment health, dune formation, foreign invaders & impact of human activity on the environment. WHOLE GROUP ROUND ROBIN Rotating students through team challenges is the perfect way to get your entire group working together. PREMIUM ACTIVITIES SURFING Always a favourite, the Learn to Surf Program is designed to have all students catching waves, controlling a surf board, paddling, standing up and riding the waves to the beach. NIGHT ACTIVITIES CAMP FIRE AND NIGHT GAMES (maximum of 50 guests per fire, 2 fires available) Enjoy one of Australia s greatest traditions, a camp fire under the stars, with marshmallow toasting of course! Our specifically designed fire pits are fully supervised and are a fabulous way for campers to end a busy day. Night games can be held indoors or outdoors with a team building and/or problem solving focus. CAMP FIRE AND DAMPER MAKING (maximum of 40 guests per fire, 2 fires available) As with the camp fire above, all equipment is supplied for your students to make and bake damper alongside the coals of the fire. This iconic Australian dish is sure to entertain and provide the perfect treat at the end of the evening. MINUTE-TO-WIN-IT GAMES NIGHT Based on the popular game show, Minute-To-Win-It is a hilarious activity where teams compete to complete challenges within a one minute time limit. This high energy and uplifting games night will have everyone in stitches. INDOOR OR OUTDOOR CINEMA AND POPCORN Relax and unwind under the stars while watching a movie on our large 5 metre high pop-up cinema screen. A wonderful activity after a busy day, where students will enjoy popcorn and ice blocks. FUN QUIZ AND GAMES NIGHT Our facilitators will entertain students with a fun and entertaining quiz night with trivia questions and mini games in between to keep everyone engaged and amused.
