TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT EXPLICATION OF COMPETITION The Trap Mixed Team Event consist in a competition where Man and Women, of the same nation, compete togheter to reach the best result to be qualified for the Final. Each Shooters of the team will shoot 75 targets. To have a good and equal competition will be better to use three different ranges. At the end of the qualification rounds, the sum of the six results, three per each Shooters, will determinate the classification. The first six teams will enter in Final where all six team will shoot 25 targets at one shoot and in alternate Men and Women. After the first 25 targets we will have the first elimination. Then the Final will continue with other 5 targets to eliminate an other team till to arrive to have two team that will shoot 10 targets to determinate Gold and Silver medals.
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT EXPLICATION OF COMPETITION Each Nation can enter, as decided by the rules, max 2 teams and the procedure of the competition will be like a normal Trap Competition. In the qualification rounds the Men will shoot first and the Women will shoot second. While in the Shoot Offs and in the Final the Coach will decide who will shoot first and who will shoot second and in alternate. TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT CLASSIFICATION AFTER QUALIFICATION ROUNDS At the end of the qualification rounds ( 75 targets per each Shooter 150 targets for team ) we have the final results of the qualification competition that you can see here following :
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT SHOOT OFF TO ENTER IN FINAL Right now we have to decide, with a Shoot Off, who will enter in the final and the position of the teams in the stations. The Shoot off consist, starting from station one, by the first shooter to shoot one target ( The sequence to shoot for first, Men or Women, will be decided by the Coach ). In the second station the second shooter will shoot the second target. In third station again the second shooter will shoot the thirf target and in the fourth station the first shooter will shoot one target and so on. Here you can see the sequence :1,2,2,1,1,2,2 etc. The sequences will be repeated till the ties are broken. Here following you can see the result after the Shoot Off
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE TO PREPARE THE FINAL After all the ties are broken with the Shoot Off, we will distribute to the teams the BIB Numbers as per the position that they have in the stations. At this time the Coach of each team will decide the shooter ( Men or Women ) that will shoot first. This shooter who will shoot first will have the BIB Number with white number ( with small 1 that means who will shoot first ) while the shooter who will shoot for second will have the BIB Number with black number ( with small 2 that means who will shoot second ) as shown in the following picture.
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT HOW TO PREPARE THE RANGE FOR THE FINAL Before the Final we have to prepare the range to host 6 Coaches, 12 Shooters, 3 Jury Members and the table where the Shooters have to recover the ammunitions. This means that we have to prepare, on the right side of the range, n.9 chairs for Choaces and Shooters + n. 2 chairs for the Juries and in the left side of the range other n. 9 chairs and n.1 chair for the Jury. Each 3 chairs must have on the back : Coach Station: 1 Shooter station 1 Shooter station 1 and so on for station 2 till 6. The 2 chairs for the Jury must have on the back Jury in Charge and Jury of Appeal and on the other side only Jury for Time Out. On the right side of the range you can put chairs for stations 6-1-2 and the two chairs for the Juries while on the left side of the range you have to put chairs for stations 3-4-5 and Jury You can better understand what we explain in the following pictures :
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE BEFORE THE START OF THE FINAL The table for recovery and control of the ammunitions will be placed in the right or in the left part of the range and must be controlled by the Jury of the Equipment Control. The ammunition must be put on the basket maximum 30 minutes before the start of the Final. The Shooters must reach the range 15 minutes before the start of the Final and must be seated on their appropriate chairs. When the Jury of the Equipment Control will give the approval the Shooters will take the ammunition from their baskets and will reach the range to be at the commands of the Referree.
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE BEFORE THE START OF THE FINAL At the command of the Referrees the Shooters with BIB numbers white will take position on their station while the Shooters with BIB numbers black will stand up behind the station occupied by the member of their team. The Referree will command the Test Fire and starting from station 1 to station 6 the Shooters will perform Test Fire. First will have Test Fire the shooters with white BIB number than the Shooters with black BIB number. You can see the sequence on the following pictures ;
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE BEFORE THE START OF THE FINAL After the Test Fire and show the targets the 12 Shooters plus the Jury and the Refeerre in charge will take place in the right part of the range to prepare the parade for the presentation. The first in the line will be the Referree, the second will be the Jury in Charge and after the Jury we will have the two shooters with number 6 then 5 then 4 and so on. At the command of the speaker will start the parade that will reach the center of the range where the speaker will present the Finalists and then the Officials. See the following pictures :
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT STARTING OF THE FINAL After the presentation the Shooters with BIB numbers white will take place in the stations while the Shooters with BIB number black will take place on the chairs close to their Coach. The Jury will take place on their chairs. All shown in the following pictures :
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE FOR ASKING TIME OUT DURING THE FINAL As you know the Coaches have the right to call one minute Time Out for each team that they have in the Final. This means that the Coaches that are seat on chairs of station 6-1-2 have to ask the Time Out to Jury in Charge while the Coaches seat on chairs of station 3-4-5 have to ask the time out to Jury seat close to them. The Time Out must be requested to the Jury that is placed close to the Coach. The Jury will call the Time Out just before that the Shooter of the team of the Coach that requested the Time Out shoot his target. Here following you can see the phase of the Time Out.
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE OF THE FINAL At the command of the Referree the Shooters on the stations will start to shoot their 5 targets. One in each of the five stations with random sequence. After these five targets the Referree will command : STOP and CHANGE. The speaker will comment the results of the first five targets and in the meantime we will have the changement of the Shooters on the stations. The Shooters with BIB numbers white will take place on the chairs while the Shooters with BIB numbers black will take place on the station and at the command START of the Refeerre they will shoot the second sequence of five targets You can see this phase on following pictures:
TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE OF THE FINAL After the five sequence of five targets ( that will be 3 sequence for Shooters with white numbers and 2 sequence for the Shooters with black numbers ) we will have the first elimination that will give the sixth position in the ranking. After this first elimination we will have an other changement of the Shooters and the Final will continue with other five targets and at the end of this sequence we will have the second elimination to determinate the fifth position. We continue with this alternate sequence till to have only two Team that will compete for Gold and Silver. This two Team will shoot ten targets, in sequence of five targets for Shooters with white BIB numbers and five targets for Shooters with black BIB numbers. TRAP MIXED TEAM EVENT PROCEDURE AFTER THE END OF THE FINAL At the end of this ten targets we will have Gold and Silver medallists or in case of tie we will procede with a Shoot Off. After any eventuall shoot Off or at the end of the Final the Jury in Charge will collect the first three Team and will position them in the center of the range. After that the speaker will announce the first three Teams as winner of the medals as you can see in the following pictures:
