Payment for classes pre-entered is expected when you pick up your numbers at the show. There are no refunds on stalls or haul-in fees for exhibitors using the pre-entry incentive without a vet certificate. RULES: Dogs are to be on a leash at all times and kept in the camping area. No dogs are allowed in the arena grandstands or stall areas. Every class offered herein, which is covered by the rules of the current PtHA Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Should any question or dispute arise not provided for in the governing rules the same shall be referred to the show committee whose decision will be final. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE EXHIBITOR TO KNOW THE RULES GOVERNING CLASSES. All Pintos must be registered with PtHA. Owners/exhibitors must provide copies of PtHA registration papers for all Pintos entered in show. These should be submitted with entry form. PtHA membership does not make you a member of Oregon Pinto Horse Association. You must pay OPtHA membership dues to become a member of OPtHA before you are eligible to compete for OPtHA year-end awards. For membership information, contact Theresa Anderson at 253-862-6461 or OPtHA.Membership@gmail.com All owners and exhibitors of Pintos entered in show must be current members of PtHA. This is a PtHA rule that went into effect on January 1, 2005. Owners/exhibitors must provide copy of current PtHA membership card. This should be submitted with entry form. For leased Pintos, a current lease agreement must be on file with PtHA and a copy of lease agreement should be submitted with entry form. Lease agreements must be renewed through PtHA each year. It is owner/leasee's responsibility to make sure all lease agreements are current and up to date prior to showing at a PtHA approved show. The owner of every miniature horse/pony in competition shall provide a copy of a current PtHA measurement card or be measured at the show before a back number will be issued. Shoeing regulations for horses will be enforced. (See PtHA rule 49) PROTESTS: Protests covering an occurrence within the horse show must be made in writing to the show committee within 12 hours of the time of the cause of the protest. It must be signed by the protester and accompanied by a deposit of $250.00. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be in the paddock area PRIOR to the call of his/her class. A 2 minute gate hold will be allowed if prior notification has been given to gate manager. YOUTH DRIVING CLASSES HORSE AND PONY/MINI WILL NOT BE COMBINED OTAB (Open to all breeds): These classes are open classes to any breed and will be judged by 2 judges (Do not have to pay Pinto fees). OTAB: OTAB Classes will abide by OPtHA show rules where applicable. Otherwise, please refer to the rules supplied with the OTAB entry form. OTAB Classes are also PAC (Paint Alternative Competition) and OCAP (Pinto's Open Competition Alternative Program). You must register to be eligible to earn these alternative points; more information can be found on the respective breed organizations website. OTAB classes earn colored tickets. Tickets will be given for individual judges placing first - sixth. Exhibitors/owners will have the option of turning in their colored tickets to the vendors for purchases or toward their show bill. OTAB SHOW ENTRIES: Horses shown in OTAB classes do not need to be registered with any breed. The age divisions are simply to split up the open division; for example, trainers and non-amateur riders may enter in the 18 & over division. OTAB: No training devices allowed. Suitable attire: Boots, Long sleeve shirt, hat/helmet. COMBINING/CANCELING CLASSES: Management reserves the right to combine or cancel classes at their discretion if the number of entries in a class warrant. Classes with less than 3 entries may be combined with other classes. In the event a class is canceled, entry fees will be refunded. Halter Classes will first be combined by type St/Hu Sa/Pl, then age. Pony Halter classes will be combined if less than 3 ponies in a class. Miniature Horse 34 & under Halter classes will be combined if less than 3 horses in a class. Miniature Horse Over 34-38 Halter classes will be combined if less than 3 horses in a class. SPEAKING TO THE JUDGE: Exhibitors wishing to speak to the judges must make an appointment through the show committee. MEASURING: Mini, Mini B and Pony measuring will only be done by Wendy Davidson. Only signed measuring sheets signed by Wendy Davidson will be accepted. On-Site measuring will only be done by Wendy Davidson. No other signatures will be accepted. UNATTENDED HORSES: Horses are not to be left unattended when outside the enclosure of a stall. All horses must be in an enclosure at night for the safety of the horses and exhibitors. STALLIONS: All exhibitors of stallions/colts must be 19 years and older. This is a PtHA rule that went into effect January 1, 2005. SMOKING: The Linn County Fairgrounds is a smoke free arena. Smoking will be allowed only in designated areas.

ALCOHOL: No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the show barn, arena or paddock areas. IN KEEPING WITH OREGON STATE LAW NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 MAY CONSUME ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WHILE ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. REFUNDS: Refunds will be made with a veterinarian s certificate provided the certificate is dated prior to the end of the show and postmarked within 7 days after the show. Refunds will be made when management has canceled a class. There will be NO REFUNDS for classes exhibitors/owners scratch or miss. However, entry fees for a scratched class maybe transferred to another class for the same owner at same show at the time of the scratch. POST ENTRIES: All entries must be postmarked no later than Oct. 2, 2014 to avoid post entry fees. Management reserves the right to accept entries for unfilled classes after the closing date at the regular entry fee. HAUL-IN FEE: All horses not requiring stabling will be charged a haul-in fee of $20.00 per horse. STALL FEES: Box stalls are $75.00 for the weekend (BY Oct. 2, 2014) and $85.00 for the weekend (AFTER Oct. 2, 2014). Tack stalls are $75.00 (BY Oct. 2, 2014) and $85.00 (AFTER Oct. 2, 2014). No stall changes are to be made without prior consent of the Barn Manager. Bedding provided. The Linn County Fairgrounds will be open to exhibitors beginning Noon, Thursday, October 9th, 2014. Stalls will be reserved ONLY with submission of a completed stall reservation form. All stall fees must accompa-7 ny this reservation form. Any forms received that are incomplete or lacking total stall fee payment will be returned. Exhibitors wishing to be stabled together must send their stall reservations in the same envelope and stapled together, otherwise, the request cannot be honored. The show will make every effort to grant special requests and location preferences but exhibitor cooperation is needed. Exhibitors arriving before Thursday or staying over Sunday night need to make arrangements directly with Linn County Fairgrounds. NO STALL REFUNDS. HORSES PRE-ENTERED DO NOT HAVE TO PAY POST ENTRY FEE TO ADD CLASSES AT SHOW. AWARDS: Colored tickets will be given for individual judge s placing first through sixth. Champion and Reserve will be given in halter. Owners have the option of purchasing a plaque on which to put the tags. Cost of plaque is $20.00. The plaques can be used at both the May and October shows. ALL AWARDS NEED TO BE PICKED UP IN THE SHOW OFFICE BY THE CLOSE OF THE SHOW. AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED. Exhibitors/Owners will have the option of turning in their colored tickets to the vendors for purchase or toward their show bill. HIGHPOINTS: All classes in respective divisions will count including halter. Color classes will not count towards high points. Ties for high points and reserves will be broken first on the horse, youth/horse or amateur/horse combination earning the greatest number of first places. Then second places, etc., if a tie remains, the winner will be the entrant who earned points in the greatest number of classes. * To qualify for a highpoint, exhibitors must enter in at least 4 classes of that division. Youth Walk Trot 11 & Under Division exhibitors are excluded from this stipulation. RV PARKING FEES: RV space fees are $25.00 per day with hookups and $5.00 per day with no hookups. Horse trailers parked in RV spaces will be charged the RV space fee. You can reserve them through the fairgrounds at 541.926.4314. RETURNED CHECKS: All returned checks will be charged $25.00. Any exhibitor whose fees are nonnegotiable will be reported to the Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc. within 30 days of the close of the show. (Rule 36H) In addition, the exhibitor/owner issuing a non-negotiable check will have 10 working days from the time of notification by OPtHA of such check to make the check negotiable. If after 10 working days, the check is still non-negotiable, owner/exhibitor will forfeit year-end points earned from the show. If after 10 working days, the check is made negotiable, forfeited year end points will not be reinstated from that show. No adhesive tape (scotch, masking, duct, etc.) staples or nails are to be used on the stalls or walls of any building on the fairgrounds. Exhibitors/owners are responsible for cleaning up after their horses in the parking areas, around the outside buildings and in the aisles of the barn. It is the responsibility of each owner/exhibitor to police the litter and garbage around their stall and camping area.
