Customer Service Give A Gift Digital Edition SAIL Events Secrets of the ICW & Snowbird Rally In 2013, SAIL created the Secrets of the ICW Seminar which takes place on Sunday during the Annapolis Sailboat Show to help southbound cruising sailors find their way to the warm waters of Florida, the Bahamas, Caribbean and other points south. The seminar proved so popular that SAIL created the ICW Snowbird Rally in 2014 for those who were ready to make the journey. This year, the seminar will see 150 attendees and the rally will have 20 boats plus two leaders traveling from Hampton, VA to St. Augustine, FL. INTERNATIONAL CRUISING BOAT EXPO In 2015, SAIL teamed up with sister magazine Passagemaker to launch International Cruising Boat Expo in Essex, CT, a combination of educational seminars, boat show and social events. The inaugural event, which took place in June at Brewer Essex Island Marina, was designed for serious cruisers who want to go to the next level. 31 seminars ranging from two & four hours to half-day & 2-day covered subjects such as Diesel Engines, Advanced Anchoring, Heavy Weather Seamanship, Cuba Cruising, Monohull vs Multihull and Comms for Cruisers.
