The Skeet league is 3 team members and Trap league is 2 team members. Men, women, and juniors are welcome to shoot. If you need some instruction, just let us know. We have lots of shotgun shooters who are glad to help. Shooting the winter is fun and challenging. Feel free to stop by with any questions or to sign up. 1

Thanks to the great Board of Directors here at BWSA. I am proud to announce we have 6 NEW Promatic Signature Series Skeet machines just in time for our Winter Skeet League. It s gonna be a great Winter! Jan Once again, we will be having our Clubs "Big Buck Contest" at the Annual meeting. This event is open for Members only. There will be a prize for the largest set of "Antlers" and also a prize for "Best of Show" Any Deer entered must be from this season and does not have to be a Michigan animal. Best of Show can be any animal taken this season including deer and is not necessary judged on size. It can be something different or unusually that might make it a winner. When you drop of your entry at the judging table please make sure your name and member number is attached. Good Luck. Winter Skeet League The Winter Skeet League is finally upon us. The first day you can shoot for a score is Thursday, January 4 th and your 1 st 100 birds must be shot by January 21 st. Get your team down to the club and sign up. The club has purchased new skeet machines just in time for the league. You might want to come down and shoot a few practice rounds to see how the birds fly. These new machines should eliminate one of our favorite excuses for shooting a bad score: The birds weren t flying right. The article in last month s newsletter was incorrect. I sent the wrong file to Tamra. Jan posted the correct information on the Facebook page (Bluewater Sportsmen Association Shotgun Division). All league info will be posted around the clubhouse, on the website (bwsa.club) and on Facebook. Last year we had 74 shooters, and for the first time in many years, 4 divisions! I d like the league to continue its growth and become the premier skeet league in the area. Over the years I ve learned the best way to spread the word is through word of mouth, so invite your friends, family and co-workers to join us. And if you see some new faces at the club shooting skeet, show them some Blue Water hospitality. We need all of you to pitch in, whether it s promoting the league or bringing in a hot pot of last year s venison. This is a member s league. Even if you do a little, it helps a lot. See you at the club. Larry Sokolowski.22 Winter Fun Shoot The Bluewater Sportsman s Associations Artillery Division would like to invite you to come out and have a little fun on a Saturday morning. We will be having a Skirmish type shoot, shooting 22 cal. rifles or pistols at breakable targets in the clubhouse 2

basement range. Teams are picked by a draw of names and end up being 4, 5, or 6-person teams depending on how many people show up. Rifles and pistols should be 22 cal. single shot with open sights. If you don t have one bring your semi-auto and you can shoot with some restrictions. Registration begins at 10am with a short sight in period. Teams are picked at about 10:30am and we start shooting shortly after. The shoot usually runs till about 1:30 2:00pm. Cost for the shoot is $8.00. We will be having 4 shoots this year. The dates are January 6, February 3, March 3, and April 7. Hope to see you there. For more info contact Mike Zandarski at 586-739- 6499. Bluewater Sportsman s Association is located at 4866 Ravenswood Rd. Kimball, MI. 48061 Happy New Year!!! I would like to thank Sam L., Mike S., Mark O., Zach A., Nicole A., Barry P., and Bill M. for helping install the sound proofing on the indoor range. It has made a significant difference shooting on the indoor range. We have a couple more sections of the ceiling to finish. Mondays are our open shoot night, come on out and join in the fun. Ouellette an 844, and Ed Allbaugh an 803 as the top shooters. If you would like to try bullseye come out on a Wednesday and give it a try. If you don t have a 22lr pistol, no problem, a few of us carry extras for just such occasions. Friday Fun Nite Got a new pistol for Christmas? Bring it out and have fun safely during Friday Fun Nite. We start January 5, 2018 through March. Women have the floor from 5:00 pm 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome after that. This is NOT open shooting. We offer safe range time with highly trained, safe range officers with centuries of time behind the gun. See ya there! Muzzleloaders Muzzleloading League starts January 14 and is the 2 nd and 4 th Sunday of every month. Shooting starts 9:00 am until everyone is done which is usually around 3:00 pm. We meet on Bay 4 (Homer s Range.) Hope to see you there. Ed Allbaugh 2 nd Vice President Bullseye We hosted a NRA Bullseye match 16 December. We had 14 shooters with Mike Lucas shooting an 855, Mark 3
