Uniform Tender Background We are seeking a supplier for our current school uniform supply arrangements, this contract will run from 1 June 2015 to 31 December 2017. It is not our intention or wish to review the current design of the uniform in any way. South Hunsley is a popular and thriving secondary school in East Yorkshire and converted to an Academy on 1 April 2011. The school has 1,650 students aged 11-16 and the wearing of school uniform is compulsory. We are very proud of our school uniform and expect high standards in personal appearance. We rely on our suppliers and parental support to achieve this. Every September we have a new Year 7 intake of 350 students and a bulk order for their uniform is placed in March each year, for delivery in May. In addition we also have 443 students age 16-19 in our Sixth Form, however they are not required to wear school uniform so are not covered by these arrangements. Hunsley Primary will be opening in September 2015. The primary will have 1 reception class of 30 children. Each year this will increase by 30 children until the school reaches full capacity at 210 places. Uniform Supplier appointment In keeping with the Department for Education guidelines, Hunsley Trust wishes to appoint a uniform supplier to provide the uniform detailed in appendix A; ensuring that we achieve best value for parents/carers on price and quality, which is our ultimate aim. A suitable contract to supply services on the basis outlined will be put into place until 31 December 2017. Details of tender submission required Prospective tenderers are required to submit a written submission to arrive no later than noon on Monday 13 April 2015 - providing the following information: 1. Background and marketing information relating to the company 2. Details of three reference sites, one of which must have been provided with a new uniform during 2013-14 or 2014-15 3. A price list co-responding to Appendix A, clearly detailing items which cannot be supplied 4. Samples of products available for supply, in particular a sample sweatshirt which we would like to carry out durance testing on. 1
