ABOUT Challenge, adventure, community, exhilaration, and success are just a few of the words that describe my passion for cycling. Since my first bike race as a junior, to lining up at my first cyclocross World Cup, my passion has always been in cycling and the life-changing journey that it brings. After racing in Belgium for two months during my 16/ 17 CX season, I now have a better understanding of the dedication and community it takes to truly race at the highest level. With a full-time job since I graduated college, I have always searched for a route to fully pursue my passion of cycling. For 2017, I have already started that pursuit, amicably leaving my full-time position with my entire focus towards training for the fall cyclocross season. ERIC THOMPSON CYCLIST / CX & ROAD 651.231.1554 thompsone07@gmail.com eric.thompson.503 ericthompsoncycling.com This past year added some cyclocross monuments to my palmares and experience I m excited to build upon this season. Results from a full summer of road racing and traveling all over the world have given me an astonishing amount of perspective. These experiences have provided a solid foundation for taking my racing to the highest level. With this year s goals, I plan to continue to build a support community that I can not only prosper from, but more importantly give back to. As a former Marketing Director at Hed Cycling Products, I understand the importance of the mutual relationship between rider and sponsor and providing timely marketing materials and feedback. Moreover, I understand the importance of professionalism, but also the friendship, modesty, and passion that lay a foundation for a cycling community that is used to inspire the newer riders or younger generations. As I continue to build momentum with my early season fitness, I look forward to establishing new relationships in preparation for the upcoming cycling season. With the new year comes new adventure, and I hope that you will be interested in sharing part in mine. P 01 /6

17/ 18 SEASON PREVIEW The unknown is scary, intimidating, and can be uncomfortable. If there is one thing I learned from last cyclocross season, it s to embrace the unknown, jump into tasks that are seemingly impossible, and use the newly learned perspective to thrive more than ever before. Before traveling abroad last year, I had never flown outside the United States; I had never raced a world cup cyclocross race; and I surely had never packed up and taken two months off of my full time job in order to race against the world s best competition. This year there were more unknowns with leaving my job to pursue my passion, but I intend to hold onto the strength built from my experiences last year to achieve my goals. In preparation for the upcoming season, I enter my training and build period with confidence and dedication to reach levels of fitness I have never been able to achieve before. With new goals, I intend to focus on races I can make a difference at and attract recognition for my sponsors. My time spent in Belgium last year forever changed how I visualize racing, and I intend to go back this year with intention of continuously growing my skills and ability. With an unrelenting pursuit to reach the highest level of the sport, I look forward to the unknown challenges that the new season will bring. Below is a simple outline of my upcoming season. If any ideas jump into your mind on how my program can benefit your company goals, I would love to hear them!
