SELECT SOCCER HANDBOOK This packet contains important information about becoming a DJCT Academy Player and Parent. Please take the time to read thoroughly as most of your questions should be answered.

TRYOUTS Only players are allowed on the field during tryouts. Parents must remain off the fields and refrain from approaching coaches during tryouts. Please take the time to read this Handbook thoroughly during the tryout process. Once you have read the entire handbook and agree to the information therein, please sign the Parent & Player Code of Conduct Agreement (last page of this handbook) and upload it to your GotSoccer Account under Documents. The signed agreement will be added to your child s file in the event that they are successfully placed on a DJCT Select Soccer team. Team assignments will occur after tryouts are complete. Within roughly 24 hours of the completion of tryouts you will receive a notification email including your child s team placement and information regarding registration. Please make sure you have added dundeeuniors@gmail.com to your email address book so that you will receive the notification email. If you have not been receiving emails from dundeejuniors@gmail.com please verify the email address we have on file at the registration table prior to the end of registration. Once you receive the team assignment email you must pay a non-refundable $300 commitment fee within 24 hours to secure your roster spot. This payment must be made by credit or debit card and will be processed online via the link sent in the offer email. Please feel free to visit the registration table with additional questions, comments and/or concerns. Good luck to all the participants!!

CLUB PHILOSOPHY Dundee Juniors of Central Texas is the leading player development club in the greater Austin area. Our possession-based, technique focused system fosters enhanced abilities with the ball and develops independent decision-making skills under pressure. DJCT is the only soccer club in central Texas owned by a Pro-European Club. Our connection with the Dundee F.C. program provides our players with several great opportunities that are unique to our program. We offer a comprehensive college exposure program for our U15 to U18 players. We will achieve our goals through a positive training environment where winning games will be a byproduct of the player's development. Our focus is developing players by improving their technical skills as well as fostering teamwork and a love of the game. Our training sessions are designed to give all DJCT players the opportunity to attain these goals. At DJCT all training sessions across the board focus on these player development principles.

TEAM INFORMATION AGE GROUPS U11 and U12 teams play 9 v 9. A maximum of 14 players are allowed on the roster. U13 - U18 teams play 11 v 11. A maximum of 18 players are allowed on the roster. LEVEL OF LEAGUE PLAY The level of league play for each team will be determined after team formation is complete. The DJCT fee structure is based upon which league division the team will play in since league fees and training schedules vary based on division of play. League play is based upon the following Divisions (from highest to lowest level): Elite: Plays in the State Classic League (starts Spring U13 and is made up of top 4 teams from Austin, San Antonio and Houston) or Premiere League (starts U14 and is made up of top 4 SCL teams along with North Texas and Oklahoma teams). Will include travel and teams will train 3 days per week. Division I : Plays at neutral sites in either Austin or San Antonio. DJCT Division I teams will receive 3 team training sessions per week. Super II: Plays home and away matches. Some travel involved, which could include Temple, San Antonio and parts of South Texas for league play. DJCT Super II teams will receive 2 training sessions per week plus an Optional 3 rd Technical Training Session. Division II: Plays home and away matches. Generally, less travel and most of the games are played within the Austin and central Texas area (Bastrop, Dripping Springs, Georgetown, etc.). DJCT Division II teams will receive 2 training session per week plus an Optional 3 rd Technical Training Session. TOURNAMENTS Tournaments: Typically the tournaments that DJCT teams compete in will be in Austin, San Antonio or Houston. Western District Playoffs and State Playoffs will generally be in those cities as well.

TRAINING Specific training nights and times will be determined after the teams are formed and coaching assignments are completed. These schedules will come out early August. Each team will be assigned a coach who will train the team and coach the games on the weekend. The general training time slots for the select age groups are Monday-Thursday 5pm, 6:15pm, 7:30pm. SELECT SOCCER FEE STRUCTURE Division Fee Trainings/Week Tournaments included Elite $2,095 3 2 (1 Fall & 1 Spring) Division I $1,895 3 2 (1 Fall & 1 Spring) Super II $1,795 2 plus optional 3rd 2 (1 Fall & 1 Spring) Division II $1,795 2 plus optional 3rd 2 (1 Fall & 1 Spring) * There will be a $75 discount for payment in full and also a $75 discount for families with multiple children playing Select Soccer. DJCT Select fees are, in part, determined by the following: player & team registration fees required by CAYSA, WDDOA, and STYSA; tournament fees including: team registration and coaches expenses (hotel); referees, field maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements; professional coaching throughout the season (practices, games, tournaments). Tournament costs for one spring and one fall tournament per team are included in registration fees. Attendance at these tournaments is mandatory. The Director of Coaching will decide which teams play in which tournaments. Not all teams will play in the same tournament to ensure the best competition for the team and in an effort to ensure the primary coach is available for the tournament. If the Director of Coaching, team coach, or team as a whole decide to participate in more than 2 tournaments, the cost will be an expense shared across the team. DJCT Select Soccer tries to provide limited financial aid or custom payment plans to those truly in need. If financial aid or custom payment plan is necessary, please submit completed financial aid request form (available at DJCT.org on the fees tab) along with necessary documentation by the last day of tryouts. The form must be submitted prior to the completion of tryouts so it can be reviewed by the scholarship committee for approval before team formation is completed. Please do not wait until after tryouts as the request for financial aid may not be approved. Financial Aid Requests will not be reviewed until the $300 commitment fee is paid in full.

PAYMENT OPTIONS ** Non-refundable commitment fee of $300 must be paid within 24 hours of notification of team assignment.** During registration, payment arrangements must be made using one of the following options. All payments must be made via link provided using credit or debit card. Option 1: Pay in full within 24 hours of receiving placement email to receive a $75 discount. Option 2: Pay 6 equal payments due the 15 th of each month (June through November). FEE CALENDAR May: $300 commitment fee due within 24 hours of team assignment June: Uniform kit purchase for all Select Players (order online through Eurosport) June 15: First payment due (if on payment plan) June 15 through November 15: Monthly payments due (if on payment plan) PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY OR PRACTICE UNLESS AGREED UPON PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS ARE KEPT CURRENT. REFUNDS It is the strict policy of the Dundee Juniors of Central Texas Select Soccer program that once a player has been offered and accepted a position on a select team, no refunds will be granted for: injury, moving to another club, etc. This policy is in place because costs are fixed for the year upon team formation and cannot be recovered unless a team is disbanded. In rare instances where a parent feels that extenuating circumstances have occurred, a request for a refund may be made in writing to DundeeJuniors@gmail.com. The Financial Committee shall review the request and present its findings to the board.

UNIFORMS & PRACTICE ATTIRE Uniform kits are not included in the registration fees. Estimated cost for full kit as described below is $250.00. Uniforms will be purchased online and delivered directly to you. You will receive an email from DJCT with a personalized link to order your child s uniforms. Please make sure you order from your personal link as this tells us what number to use so that we do not have duplicate numbers on a team. Once registration and teams are complete, then players will receive emails on how to order uniforms. These emails will come out in Mid-June. Please order uniforms ASAP because it takes about a month for everything to come in. It is not recommended to wait until August to order the uniform kit and there is no guarantee of having everything in time before the season starts. The club does not have extra uniform pieces in the office and everything is ordered online from each individual family. You will not be able to order a uniform until 80% of your roster is committed ($300) to the team. REQUIRED SELECT UNIFORM KIT CONSISTS OF: 1 Practice Jersey (Blue) 1 Home (Blue) Jersey 1 Away (Red) Jersey 1 Home (Blue) Short 1 Away/training (Blue) Short 2 Pair Game Socks (1 Blue & 1 Red) 1 Warm-up (Pants/Jacket) ADDITIONAL ITEMS AVAILABLE ONLINE: Soccer Backpack Extra shorts for training Extra socks for training Ball Uniform kits cannot be modified and must be purchased in their entirety. PARENT COMMITMENTS AND CONDUCT Upon agreeing to play for Dundee Juniors of Central Texas Select Soccer, every parent and player must agree to the following Codes of Conduct. To have a successful program, there must be understanding and cooperation among parents, players, and coaches. Your child s progress will depend on this triangular relationship. PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO: Help their child by supplying plenty of recognition, support and positive encouragement. Support the coaches, as players develop best when they trust and respect the coach. Refrain from ALL coaching of a child during the game. Communicate through the team manager or coach.
