Championship es: We have decided not to offer championship classes this year. Entries must be postmarked no later than, March 24, 2087. Entries postmarked after this date will be considered Post Entries. All class numbers should be listed on the original entry form. Send entries to: Beth Walker, 17188 Airline Hwy, Ste. Entries without these copies will be charged $25 for an Incomplete Entry. All required and USEF membership numbers must be on the entry form, and photocopies of current cards must be included with each entry or Non-Member Fees will be charged. Each Entry must also include a signed check payable to L or credit card information on Credit Card Authorization Form. You must show your current Vaccination Record showing proof of Rhino Vaccination in the last 6 months, USEF GR145, Coggins in last 12 months and Health Certificate when you check in. LA Residents do not need a Health Certificate. Entries for New Horses: Entries for new horses will be accepted until two hours prior to the first session you want to show in, provided post entry fee per horse is paid, If a new horse is entered after the above stated time frame, a Courtesy post entry fee of $75 will be charged. Add/Scratch Policy: This is not a "ride-through-the-gate" show. es can be added up to one hour prior to the start of the session for the regular class fee. Any classes entered after that will be charged 1 ½ times the regular entry fee for that class. Any entry that is not scratched at least one hour prior to the start of the session will be charged for that class. Any entry that is not scratched prior to the opening of the gate will be charged a $20 No Show Fee. Entry Requirements: A horse may only be entered in the name of the legal owner and must be entered under its full registered name. No horses may be entered on more than one entry form. Horses will be entered in the owner's name as recorded on the registration papers. If a horse is being leased or purchased on a sales contract, the lessee or new owner must have his/her name listed as owner on proper documentation provided to the show secretary and may not be shown in any Amateur Owner es. No farm names will be listed unless the farm is the recorded owner of the horse. No exceptions. INDEBTEDNESS TO SHOW: Any exhibitor who fails to settle his or her indebtedness to this show will automatically be reported to, under Handbook Article SUS 102, and to USEF under USEF Rule Book Article GR 913. NSF Check or Declined Credit Card charge $150 per occurrence. All exhibitors are required to leave an open check/valid credit card information in the show office upon check-in, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Measurement: All entries must have current cards and credentials if required, measurements will not be available. Payment of Entries: Entry fees and other charges must accompany entries, or entries will not be accepted. Blank, signed checks made payable to L is acceptable. You may also pay by credit card (Master card, Visa and AMEX). Please complete the Credit Card Authorization Form and include with entries. Premiums: No prize money will be paid in all regular classes, or any Buy-A-. Prizes and Awards: Ribbons to sixth place will be awarded in all regular performance and halter classes. Registration Requirements: Arabians: Horses shown in this division must have been issued a certificate of registration from the Arabian Horse Registry of America, Inc., and/or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry, or, if under one year of age, be eligible for registry and registration applied for (Exception: Art. 1699V.1) and must be entered under their full registered name. (Only weanlings that have had registration applied for may show without registration papers.) A copy of the registration papers showing proof of ownership must be submitted with entry form at the time of making entries. Competition management is responsible for notifying exhibitors of this requirement. Half-Arabians: Horses shown in this section must have been issued a certificate of registration from the Arabian Horse Association in the Half-Arabian or the Anglo-Arabian Registry, or have been issued an Arabian Horse Association (Canadian Partbred Arabian Registry) CPAR PERMIT, or if under one year of age, be eligible for registry and registration applied for and must be entered under their full registered name. Refunds: Requests for refunds of class fees must be made in writing before the show begins and must be accompanied by a veterinarian's certificate. Go a Short Distance to First Stop Light and turn Right onto Edenborn Parkway (Follow Signs ) Turn Right at Stop Sign. Follow Road into Facility you will come into the Main Front Entrance of Facility We will be using Barns 2 & 3. Arrival/Departure Information: Stalls will be available on Wednesday Morning April 4 th at 8:00am. Early arrivals will be charged $25.00 per day/per stall. Please contact the Bam Manager to arrange early arrival. Stall Chart will be available in the Show Office. Arenas & Warm Up Areas: Two indoor arenas as well as a large covered breezeway between the arenas are available in addition to an outdoor ring (weather permitting). Arena D (Main Arena) is 120X300; Arena B (Back Arena) is 118X270; all arenas have a sand/dirt footing. Dogs and Other Pets: No dogs are allowed in any stands, buildings, or arena areas. Dogs and other pets are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be held on a leash or otherwise restrained. Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs behaviors. Pet owners failing to comply with this rule will be issued a Yellow warning card and may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7. Feed & Bedding: Lamar Dixon Expo Center will provide shavings in large bags at $10.00 per bag. Advance shavings orders are recommended. Exhibitors may bring their own feed and hay. Feed and hay is not available on the grounds; however, there are several feed stores in the area. A list of phone numbers will be available in the show office. First Aid: Emergency personnel and first aid treatment will be available at all times during performances. Accident Preparedness Plan posted at Show Office. Motorized Vehicle Statement (in accordance with GR1301.7): Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above-described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or action resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. No Parking: No parking between barns or within 50 feet of the ends of each row. No Smoking: The Lamar Dixon Expo Center is a smoke-free facility. No smoking in any building, restroom or office. RV and Camper Hook-Ups: Motor home and camper hook-ups will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The RV rate of $40 per day will be charged. A check/credit card for the total number of days must accompany request for reservations. Also, date and approximate time of arrival must accompany request for reservations. 300 motor home sites are available with two (2) bathhouses. Hookups have water, electricity and sewage. Dump stations are available on site. The Louisiana Sanitary prohibits the dumping of any wastewater onto the ground or into storm drains, gutters or other surface drainage structures. This includes all wastewater from baths, sinks, and lavatories. Please abide by these regulations and dump all wastewater into one of the sanitary dumps located at the entrance to the facility. As the operator of the facility, we are required by DEQ and the Ascension Parish Health Units to require compliance with Louisiana Sanitary. Therefore, as a condition of occupancy, we must insist that you observe these regulations. Skates, Bicycles, & Scooters: No skates, bicycles, non-motorized scooters, wagons, or wheeled children's toys are permitted in or around any buildings in the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, or on any paved surface between buildings, including arenas, barns, parking lots, and roads. Please inform your children of this safety rule. Motorized scooters, golf carts, and other motorized utility vehicles are allowed. Stalls: The Lamar Dixon Expo Center provides more than 950 permanent steel stalls, doors included. Stalls are bedded with sand. Shavings are not provided with stall rental. Stall Requests: Exhibitors wishing to stall together must list the same "stable with name" on entry blank. No changes will be made in the original stall assignments. 2018 Magnolia ic 9

Exhibitor Rights and Responsibilities Health Requirements: Current Coggins must be presented to the Show Office upon arrival at the show grounds and before exhibitors will receive their back numbers. All out-of-state horses must have a current health certificate. All horses, mules, and asses consigned to fairgrounds, livestock show grounds, sale grounds, rodeos, and racetracks must meet the general requirements of LAC 7:>00.11707 and the following specific requirements: 1. It is recommended that all owners have their animals vaccinated against equine encephalomyelitis with bivalent (eastern and western type) vaccine within 12 months prior to entry. It is also recommended that owners have their animals vaccinated against Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis (VEE) before entry. 2. Representatives of the Livestock Sanitary Board will inspect horses at the horse show periodically, and any animals showing evidence of a contagious or infectious disease shall be isolated and/or removed from the show. 3. Horses moving into the State of Louisiana to fairs, livestock shows, breeders' association sales, rodeos, and racetracks must be accompanied by a health certificate, issued by an accredited veterinarian, asserting that the animals are showing no evidence of infectious, contagious or parasitic disease and are apparently healthy and have met all the specific requirements as stipulated in equine requirement (LAC7:XXI.11761). Horses must have a record of negative test for equine infectious anemia (Coggins Test) conducted within the past 12 months. The test must be conducted at an approved laboratory and the name of the laboratory, the case number, and date of test must appear on the health certificate. 4. Horses moving within the state to fairs, livestock shows, breeders' association sales, rodeos, and racetracks or other concentration points must meet federal interstate requirements of LAC 7:XX1.11705 and be accompanied by a record of negative tests for equine infectious anemia (Coggins Test) conducted within the last 12 months. The test must be conducted at an approved laboratory and the case number must appear on the official record. However, horses not congregated overnight are exempt from being accompanied by a health certificate. All resident Louisiana horses must be tested for EIA and must be individually and permanently identified. This identification can be by lip tattoo, hot brand, freeze brand, or electronic identification microchip. Color markings and descriptions will no longer be satisfactory. 5. Horses reacting to the Coggins Test within the state will be identified by regulatory personnel by hot brand, cold brand, freeze brand, or tattoo "72A." Positive horses will be rebled, upon request, by state-employed veterinarians and samples submitted to the laboratory for reconfirmation. GR845 Equine Vaccination Rule (Effective December 1, 2015) 1. At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers or veterinarian s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. 5. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior approval of the Veterinary Committee Membership Requirements: Each participant at an Recognized Show, Division or Event must submit a valid Competition Card, join (membership with Competition Card) at the show or pay a $35 Single Event Membership fee per person. Refer to Article 70S, Res 5-02, Article 302.3. Exception: Exhibitors in Walk/Trot or Lead line classes, or Parent or Guardian signing for minors. Refer to Article 705, Res 4-99. Membership in is required for owners, trainers, drivers, riders, and halter handlers. ACCIDENT PREPAREDNESS PLAN: An off-duty EMT will be on the show grounds during each session of the show. In addition, an ambulance, if needed, will be summoned by a call to 911. Should the EMT or ambulance be needed, contact the Show Office or the show arena Paddock Manager. The EMT and/or the ambulance will be contacted. The Show Veterinarian can be contacted by calling the phone number which will be posted at the show office. AN ACCIDENT PREPAREDNESS PLAN WILL BE POSTED IN THE SHOW OFFICE AND AT THE MAIN RING PADDOCK. ACCIDENTS INVOLVING COMPETITORS: A competitor who has been unconscious or concussed is precluded from further competition until evaluated by qualified medical personnel. (See USEF Article 1317) Admission to the Arena: No person will be admitted to the arena except participants in the class, judges and their assistants, show photographer and assistant, show officials and staff. Attendants will not be permitted to enter the arena unless summoned by the judge. 10 2018 Magnolia ic

Attendants: Attendants in charge of horses or assisting with preparation and showing of horses will be subject to order of the Show Manager, Show Committee or authorized agent. Attendants should be suitably and neatly dressed. Calls for es: 1. When horses are competing collectively, if a first horse does not enter the in-gate ready to participate within one minute from when the class is called into the ring, a warning is issued. a. Exhibitors will then have one additional minute to start the steady stream of horses into the in-gate. b. If no horses have entered the gate at the conclusion of the additional one minute, the gate shall be closed and the class is deemed concluded. c. Once the first horse has entered the in-gate, a steady stream of horses must be maintained. d. Should the steady stream be broken after the two minutes have elapsed, the gate shall be closed and judging will commence. e. A steady stream is defined as a constant flow of horses moving forward through the in-gate with a reasonable and safe distance between them (i.e. two to four horse or horse and buggy lengths in between). f. Show Management in conjunction with the Steward may deviate from this procedure as circumstances warrant. Cancellation, Combination or Splitting of es: The Louisiana Arabian Horse Association and show management reserve the right to cancel any class where there are fewer than three entries, and combine or divide any class or classes should the best interests of the show require it. Cruelty or Abuse: Cruelty or abuse is forbidden on the show grounds. Such action(s) will be penalized by the Show Committee according to USEF Rule III, Article 302. Excessive harm by any person including but not limited to the use of a whip or other object on any horse in a stall, runway, schooling area, show ring or elsewhere on the grounds before, during or after the show renders the offender subject to penalty. Judges shall enforce this rule in the ring. Submitting a signed entry constitutes acceptance of these provisions. Contributions - The Louisiana Arabian Horse Association has received our Non-Profit Status from the IRS. We are a 501C3 meaning all donations made to the club can be tax deductible, consult a tax professional for requirements. Discipline: Any act of dishonesty, discourtesy or disobedience to horse show officials on the part of the owner, trainer, groom or rider will disqualify the horse and exhibitor from adjudication. The management reserves the right to remove a groom, owner, trainer, horse or rider from the show without being liable for compensation or damages. Drug Testing Rules: The Drugs and Medication Rules contained in Chapter IV (GR 47-58) of the USEF Rule Book and pamphlet will be enforced by examination by an appointed licensed veterinarian and skilled technicians who are agents of USEF and who must be treated with respect. The examination may include physical, urine, blood tests, or any other tests or procedures in the discretion of said veterinarian necessary to effectuate the purposes of this rule. For every horse participating in any competition licensed by the federation, a $16 Federation fee will be collected ($8 shall be an Equine Drugs and Medications fee to provide for research, inspection and enforcement of rules regarding use of medications and drugs; see GR20S.1, GR407.1,.2 and.3 and GR20S.1). Helmet Affirmation Statement: GR801.4 Any exhibitor may wear protective headgear (ASTM/SEI) and/or a protective safety vest, specifically designed for use in equestrian sport in any division or class without penalty from the judge. The US Equestrian Federation recommends that the vest meet or surpass the current ASTM standard or be certified by the Safety Equipment Institute. Hoof Inspection: Appropriate show officials have the right to measure hoof length and shoes of any horse entered into the show. Indemnity and Responsibility: All entries are accepted with the understanding that neither the Parish of Ascension, the Louisiana Arabian Horse Association, the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, nor show management will be responsible for any loss, damage or personal injury or damage to horses exhibited or any article of any kind or nature that may be lost, destroyed, or in any way damaged. All horses shall be under the control and direction of the Show Committee but solely at the risk of the exhibitor, who will be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to any person, animal, or property occasioned by him or his agents or employees, or by an animal owned or exhibited by him, and shall indemnify the liability thus occasioned, including but not limited to any and all legal costs, including attorney fees, which may be incurred as a result thereof. The submission of any entry form to the Show Secretary shall constitute an acceptance of each person signing same of the provisions herein set forth. JUDGES: This show will be judged according to the concurrent run single judge system. In the event of illness or failure of a judge or any other official to attend this show or to perform his/her duties, the Show Committee reserves the right to substitute an official for the one officially designated in the prize list, according to USEF rules. Judges Evaluation Fee (9-- 90 fees): The 9-- 90 fee for Concurrent Shows (COMP 203.1.C) will be$7.00 per horse. Effective Dec 31, 2012 The 9-- 90 fee will be refunded to the exhibitor of a horse which is vetted out of a show before the show begins, is not on the grounds and is in compliance with the show s vet out policy. Legion of Merit Awards: Exhibitors are invited to have Legion of Merit presentations at our show. Please contact the show secretary to schedule. Judges will not be present during the presentation. Not limited to L members. MEDICAL WASTES: Needles and other sharp medical waste shall be disposed of in the Sharps Containers which are located at the wash racks of each barn. Competition management may fine any individual up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Protests: Should any question or dispute arise, it must be protested in the manner described by the US Equestrian Federation Rule VI, Chapter 1, Article 602. Should any question or dispute arise not provided for in the governing rules, the same shall be referred to the Show Committee whose decision will be final. Results Processing Fee: Effective January 1, 2015: The fee has been increased to $4 per horse/per show, this fee must be collected and paid to to cover the cost s associated with processing the results of a show. For a concurrent show the fee is $8 per horse. Security: Night time unarmed security watch will be available throughout the entire show. Tack Changes/Gate Holds: Requests for tack changes/gate holds should be submitted to the Paddock Master prior to the start of the session in which the hold is necessary. Tack Changes/Gate Holds limited to 3 minutes, you must have a conflict to be granted. Time Outs: In the event of equipment breaking or a horse casting a shoe during the judging of a class, the judging shall be suspended for a time not to exceed five minutes to allow repairs to be made or the horse reshod. In all performance/breeding classes, an exhibitor is entitled to only one timeout per class (See Article 312). (Exception: Reining, Hunter, and Jumper classes) USEF Accordance: This horse show is conducted in accordance with the rules of the US Equestrian Federation; Chapter AR - Arabian Horse Division. The official Rule Book of the USEF will prevail for this show. The Prize List is based on rules of the current Rule Book; any changes or correction of rules will automatically become a part of this Prize List. Each participant in this show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to the USEF Rules. Every class offered herein which is covered by the Rules and Specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Questions not covered by USEF rules shall be decided by the Show Committee, and its decision shall be final. Please see Article 1401.8 which details which individuals must possess USEF membership cards in order to participate. USEF Membership Requirements: Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. USEF Show Pass Form (Non-Members) GR1309.2.b states, If an exhibitor does not submit the proper membership documentation to the competition and the competition cannot verify such information, (with the exception of Federation measurement cards) the exhibitor will be responsible to pay a $45 Show Pass fee which is nonrefundable. Walk/Trot es & USEF Shows To have your exhibitors exempt from the USEF membership requirement, WALK/TROT MUST APPEAR In the class title, i.e. Showmanship WALK/TROT 10 & Under. If Walk Trot is not in the title, they will not consider the exhibitor as being exempt from the USEF membership rule and will assess the show the non-member fee. Definitions and Specifications Except in equitation, walk-trot, showmanship, and lead line, all classes are for purebred Arabians, unless specified Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian (HA/AA). All equitation classes are for junior exhibitors 18 years and under; all walk-trot classes are for exhibitors 10 years and under, unless specified differently in the class name. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Exhibitors should read the USEF rulebook. Amateur to Ride Adult es: Every rider 19 years old or older who is entered in an Amateur To Ride class must have in his/her possession an Amateur Certification Card issued yearly by the USEF or make application for such certification at least one hour prior to riding in Amateur to Ride classes. Amateur to Ride classes are open to riders of all ages. Equitation Medal es: specifications can be found in the USEF Rule Book, AR-225. Junior Exhibitor es: Limited to riders who have not yet reached their 19th birthday, for horse show purposes, the age of an individual on December 1st of the previous year shall be maintained throughout the entire year. Lead line: Open to riders between 2 and 6 years old (as of 12/1/2017). Leaders must be at least 14years old. Saddle must fit rider. Rider's feet must be engaged in the stirrups/irons. Saddles must be equipped with hooded stirrups or breakaway irons. Leading rein must be attached to a cavesson or halter, under or over the bridle. Rider may wear saddle seat, hunter, western, dressage, or costume attire, but boots, long pants and a long sleeve shirt are required. Safety helmets may be worn regardless of attire. Riders are not able to cross-enter into any other class, and are exempt from USEF and membership requirements. No stallions. The following class sections may be offered at Federation Regular Arabian Competitions, Regional Championship Competitions, and National Championship Competitions. (see Achievement Leveling Chart in the Handbook for below definitions). (a) Open- Select Open, Choice Open and Elite Open (b) Amateur- Select Amateur, Choice Amateur, Elite Amateur and Prime Time Amateur (c) Youth- Select Youth, Choice Youth, Elite Youth, Walk-Trot/Jog 2. Achievement point requirements for each level/category will be determined each year by the Competition Advisory Committee and will be posted on the website prior to December 1 of the next competition year. 3. compilation of Achievement Points will govern rider eligibility for each level/category. Achievement Points will include all points earned from the 2002 competition year forward. 4. When Leveling classes are offered in conjunction with age groups (i.e.: AAOTR 18-39, AAOTR 40 and over as well as AATR Select Amateur, AATR Choice Amateur, AATR Amateur, Prime Time) a rider may only enter their appropriate level. When age divisions are not offered, a show may elect to allow exhibitors to enter their appropriate achievement level and the next level up (all appropriate qualifications would be required, if applicable). Exception: in Working Western es where levels are run concurrently, a show may elect to allow riders to enter up (not down) in all levels in which appropriate qualifications and entry fees are applied in any circumstance. When Leveling classes are offered a rider may enter their appropriate level or opt to enter a higher level instead. A show may elect to allow exhibitors to enter their appropriate achievement level and/or any higher level(s) (all appropriate qualifications would be required, if applicable). Riders who are deemed Choice by their leveling points may not level down to Select. In addition, Elite riders may not level down to Choice or Select. In Working Western es where levels are run concurrently, a show may elect to allow riders to enter up (not down) in all levels in which appropriate qualifications and entry fees are applied in any circumstance. Straight Egyptian Breeding/In-Hand es are restricted to Straight Egyptian horses. es will be judged using the Comparative judging system. es will be split as entries allow.
