Reading counts Since the beginning of the school year, our students have read 55,724,934 words in our Reading Counts program. Check out the total words read by each grade: 3rd 17,228,515 6th 2,187,074 4th 15,621,593 7th 392,228 5th 18,983,253 8th 1,312,271 Testing is a stressful time for all. Be positive about the situation reminding your child that the most important thing is to put forth a good effort. The more pressure placed on children to achieve certain scores the more stressful the situation becomes which could hinder their performance. Make sure kids get plenty of sleep, eat a good breakfast, and have something fun to look forward to when they get home.

CAFETERIA NEWS Parents, if your student is planning on eating the hot lunch at school, PLEASE help us get an accurate count for meals to serve. Recently we ve had issues with students not signing up for lunch but then are coming through the serving line. While we encourage all students to eat a hot lunch, we are also trying to keep costs down to a minimum. Please make sure your student is checking his/her name on the meal count sheet each morning so we have an accurate count of meals. This will help our staff in planning and assist in reducing food waste. Please feel free to contact our office at 843-846-4933, if you have any questions. Thank you for your support. Mr. C. Food Service Director Laurel Bay Data Corner Since the beginning of the school year, Bolden has handled 43 student conduct incidents.
