STEP 1 : First look for any pop rivets or bolts sitting on the inside of the gunwale holding Picture of pop rivets & yamaha gunwale surface the protective bumper rubber on, some models have them and some don t. If pop rivets are found, make sure the clamp is not positioned over them as it will YAMAHA WARNING! Uneven ridge on the inside of the gunwales. damage the inner jaw rubber pads. There is a gap between each inner jaw plate to compensate for any pop rivets or bolts. CORRECT POSITION Ensure the inner jaw is not sitting on the uneven ridge up top of the inside of the gunwale. Leave approx. 5mm gap at the bottom for Yamaha s ONLY.

STEP 2 : Hold the clamp with two hands applying pressure towards the ski to help it sit in position and to assist tightening the clamp. Proceed to tighten one knob up lightly till the clamp can hold itself. HOW TO HOLD & POSITION YOUR CLAMP

INCORRECT CORRECT POSTS SITTING VERTICLE STEP 3 : Make sure the rack posts are sitting vertically straight, if not your adjustments may be wrong and can weaken the clamping strength, the adjustable bottom plate with multiple holes in it dictates the angle the rack posts will be on. STEP 4 : Make sure the top hull support plate is sitting horizontally flush and neat in the edge between the gunwale rubber and fiberglass groove where the two meet. This position is critical for Yamahas and Sea Doo s.

INCORRECT CORRECT STEP 5 : Whilst holding the clamp in place with pressure against the ski use one hand and pull the inner STEP 6 : Double check that the inner jaw is sitting horizontally straight so it is parallel with the gunwale edge. jaw into place under the gunwale then proceed to lightly tighten one knob ( approx. 2 turns) till the rack can sit there on its own.

INCORRECT CORRECT STEP 8 : For a 6ft Surfboard the racks should be approx. 50-60cm apart from each other, measuring from the center of each STEP 6 : Proceed to tighten BOTH knobs at the same time, both with even pressure, Approx 4-8 180 degree turns ( pending model ), this will vary between clamp and positioned in the middle of the Jet Ski. The racks are shaped and designed for the boards to slot in with the top side facing each other and fins at opposite ends. each make and model Jet Ski. The final position of the knobs need to be sitting horizontal so they are streamline with passing water. This is a very critical instruction, do not over tighten, as fiberglass is a flexible material and will keep flexing until damage is done to either the hull or the clamp.

LAST CHECKS : Apply pressure to the board rack holding the bottom part of the plastic post to ensure that it is secure. Re-check your clamps after few minutes of use to ensure it is still in its correct position and tight. Always double check all the bolts after every few times of use to ensure they are all still tight.
