In the event of a workshop in the Korol studio, participants may use the Korol Studio lobby. CHECK THE WORKSHOP SCHEDULE AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Theatre etiquette Being able to attend a dance festival held in a theatre is a special and different experience compared to a competition or convention held in non-traditional venues. Be respectful of the performers, the adjudicators, staff and audience members by being attentive and considerate. If you arrive late, don t push your way into the theatre or demand to be seated. The ushers will open the doors when there is nothing going on stage. Leaving during a performance is considered highly disrespectful and should only be done in case of emergency. Any visual recording of a performance is forbidden, if you are caught you will be asked to either leave your equipment with the festival staff which will be put in a secure location or you will be asked to leave the theatre. The light and noise from cell phones and other electronic devices are a big distraction, so please; if you must use them to do so in between sessions. If a fellow audience member is being distracting a simple please be quiet or at times a meaningful and sharp Shh!, is enough to have the person be quiet. If not, please inform a festival usher or staff member and they will deal with the individual(s). Above all, anyone who attends the Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival all have something in common and have all been looking forward to the performance, just as much as you have. Please keep your comments about performances positive and supportive even if you do not agree with the adjudicator, be respectful of the process.
