IMPORTANT: Read carefully all GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS and all HEALTH RULES AND REGULATIONS in the front of the Exhibitor Handbook. ENTRIES 2. THE DEADLINE for Open Dairy Goat entries is September 15. Entries will close sooner if capacity is reached. See General Rules Entry Requirements for additional explanation. Mail entries to Arizona State Fair, Livestock Entry Department, 1826 West McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85007 or enter online. Late entries may be accepted if entries are needed to make sanction minimums. 3. ENTRY FEE: $10.00 per head for each animal is required and must accompany official entry form. No additional entry fee is required for group classes, but individual animals must have been shown in individual classes and entry must be shown on the entry form. No late entries will be accepted. In hardship cases, a formal request to further extend the entry deadline or waive late fees may be filed with the Livestock Director. Such requests will only be granted with the approval of the Livestock Director. 4. Regardless of age, all animals must be registered to be eligible to be shown and must be tattooed 5. OWNERSHIP: The owner as shown on the entry form must be the bona fide owner of the animals entered and have continuously owned the animals for at least 60 days prior to the opening day of the Fair. 6. Entries will be made by the exhibitor in the ownership name as shown on official registration certificate of American Dairy Goat Association, American Goat Society and Canadian Goat Society. CHECK-IN 7. Registration papers must be checked by 11AM Wednesday October 25. 8. SUBSTITUTIONS or Scratches of entries must be made at Check-In and will not be allowed after Check-In. No Exceptions. 9. Exhibitors will have their animals clean, well groomed and in show condition upon arrival. PENS/BEDDING/BARN 10. First bedding will NOT be provided. Exhibitors will be required to provide bedding. Straw and wood shaving will be available for purchase at the feed store on the fairgrounds, or you may bring your own. Pens and animals must be kept clean before and after the judging has been completed and premiums have been awarded. 11. Exhibitors will be required to attend to their animals while on exhibition, they shall be kept well groomed and in show condition. Exhibitors will see that their pens are neatly kept and passageways kept clean and clear at all times. PLEASE REFER TO GENERAL LIVESTOCK RULES LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS RULES 1 AND 2! 12. Animals are not to be led outside of the livestock area. 13. Milk-out will not be required. 14. No DOGS are allowed in this department.

SHOW RING 15. White shirts with black pants or black skirts must be worn in the Show Ring. No Shorts allowed. 16. No cell phone or vocal pagers are permitted in the Show Ring. PASSES, PERMITS AND VEHICLES 17. Upon arrival to the fairgrounds, the Dairy Goat Office will issue to each exhibitor four daily admission passes, one vehicle parking permit and one trailer parking permits. The Exhibitor must sign for passes and permits. Additional parking passes may be purchased for $35.00. Space is limited and purchase of a pass does not imply a guarantee of availability. All vehicles must be out of barn area by 9:30 am each morning. RELEASE 18. Dairy Goats will be released after 9:00 pm Sunday and must be removed by 8am the following day. Exhibitors must have a release from the feed and bedding provider before livestock release will be issued. Show order is not subject to change. Premier Exhibitor: This award is to be made to exhibitor winning the most points on ten or less animals owned and exhibited by him in the open single classes. Premier Breeder: This award is to be made to the breeder of ten or less animals winning the most points in open single classes, including animals bred by him, but exhibited by others. Premier Breeder need not be an Exhibitor. Where a herd is registered in the names of different members of a family residing on one farm and where the herd is one unit, all entries from that farm and herd will be considered as that of a single exhibitor in Premier Breeder, and Premier Exhibitor; however, for individual animal classes the ownership listed on the registration certificate shall be considered to be the exhibitor. The point system for determining Premier Exhibitor and Premier Breeder is as follows: Senior Females: 1st-20; 2nd-18; 3rd-16; 4th-14; 5th-12; 6th-10. Jr. Females: 1st-10; 2nd-9; 3rd-8; 4th-7; 5th-6; 6th -5. UDDER DIVISION: The judge will designate three does from each class numbers 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
