Qualification of Player/Club/Team Entry AYLESBURY UNITED JUNIORS 1. Only Clubs/Teams who are affiliated to a County FA (or equivalent body for foreign Club/Teams) are allowed to enter the Aylesbury United Juniors 2018. 2. When reserving places at this event, Club/Teams MUST state their County FA and Affiliation number; and provide details of the Football League and Division in which they played for the season 2017/18. 3. A player will only be eligible to play in the age group relevant to his/her age as of midnight on 31 st August 2017, or for an age group, one year up. The exception being as per the details within the U7 and U8 Competition section. 4. Teams can be mixed girls and boys in accordance with FA Rules. 5. Each player is only permitted to play for the team for which he/she has been registered in this competition. 6. Guest teams; Academy teams or Academy players are NOT permitted to enter the Competition. 7. The purpose of this Festival of Football is to provide all of those attending and participating the opportunity to enjoy the occasion and experience in a pleasant, sociable and friendly environment. It is accepted that the very nature of football is competitive however, the organisers wish to ensure that those in charge or associated with the Management and Coaching of players are appropriate. In order to improve Safeguarding concerns, the following measures will be in place:- a) Managers/Coaches must have a current FA enhanced DBS/CRB Check. b) Teams must be accompanied by a qualified 1 st Aider, who also holds a current FA enhanced DBS/CRB Check. This person may be the Manager/Coach, or another person. 8. Each Team Manager/Coach and 1 st Aider (if different) MUST report to and submit their completed Team Registration Form to the Control Tent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the first match in their respective age group. 9. The Team Registration Form will detail the Manager/Coach name(s) and contact telephone number; confirmation that they are DBS/CRB Checked and 1st Aid qualified (if relevant); the details of the 1st Aider, if different to the Manager; the name of the Team; the names and dates of birth of the players and the team colours. 10. Photographic ID such as a League or Club ID Badge; driving licence etc may be required to verify identification. 11. The cost per team entry for 2018 is 30:00 for reservations made prior to 3 rd March 2018. 12. The cost per team entry for 2018 is 35:00 for reservations made after 3 rd March 2018. 13. By reserving a place at our event, you understand that no refunds will be made for teams withdrawing or failing to attending. 14. Likewise, every effort will be made for this event to be held on the date advertised however, in the unlikely event that it is postponed due to adverse weather, you understand no refund will be offered and agree to attend on another date.

U7 and U8 Competition AYLESBURY UNITED JUNIORS 1. All players in the U7 section shall have attained the age of 6 as of midnight on 31st August 2017. 2. Where a child has reached the age of 6 after 31 st August 2017, that child can play in the Under 7 age group only (as per FA Rules). 3. All other players will only be eligible to play in the age group relevant to his/her age as of midnight on 31 st August 2017, or for an age group, one year up. 4. The U7 s and U8 s format will be 6-a-side, with a maximum squad size of 9. 5. Each team will play a maximum of 1 hour of football. 6. The event will be played on a friendly, non-competitive basis, with a straight group, round-robin basis. All players will receive a memento of the day for their effort and participation. 7. Points will not be awarded and results will not be recorded or published. U9 Girls to U18 Girls, U16 and U18 Boys and Ladies Competition 1. All Competition s within these groups will be 6-a-side, with a maximum squad size of 9. 2. The Competition s for each age will be organised in two stages:- a) The first stage will be on a League, round-robin basis with 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a defeat. b) The second stage will be a knockout. 3. Qualification for the knockout stage will be as follows:- a) If one league exists, the top 4 teams will progress to the Semi-Finals; to compete for a place in the Final. b) If two Leagues exist, the winners and runners up of each group will progress to the Semi- Finals; to compete for a place in the final. c) If three leagues exist, the winners and best finishing 2 nd placed team will progress to the Semi-Finals; to compete for a place in the final. d) If four Leagues exist, only the winners of each League will progress to the Semi-Finals; to compete for a place in the final. 4. In the event of two or more teams finishing the League stage on the same points, positions will be decided upon in the following order:- a) Best goal difference b) Group match result between the two teams (i.e. winner of match proceeds to next round) c) Number of wins d) Highest number of goals scored If teams cannot be split at this stage a penalty competition will take place. 5. A Cup and medals will be awarded to the Competition Winning Team. 6. Small Trophies or Medals will be awarded to the Players within the winning and the runner-up team that played in the Final.

AYLESBURY UNITED JUNIORS U9 to U15 Boys/Mixed Cup and Plate Competition Cup or Plate Competition 1. To encourage greater player participation there will be separate Cup and Plate Competitions within the U9 to U15 Mixed/Boys Section. 2. For a team to be eligible to enter the Plate Competitions, the relevant team must meet the following criteria: a) For the 2017/18 season, the team must have played in a league that has at least three divisions in its age group, and b) Where the league has three divisions, the team must have played in the bottom division; or where the league has four divisions, the team must have played in one of the bottom two; and so on for Leagues with more than four Divisions. 3. The Organising Committee will ask for Manager/Coach integrity and honesty in identifying which competition they wish to enter and we may contact appropriate League Management for corroboration of where to place a team. The Organising Committee will have the final say on which particular competition teams are entered, but will do their best to place everyone appropriately. 4. All U9 to U15 Boys/Mixed Competition s will be 6-a-side with a maximum squad size of 9. 5. Wherever possible, a Referee will be allocated to every match. 2. All Referees must be respected and their decision is FINAL. There are no appeals. 3. No Referee will be subjected to intimidation or threats of any kind. 4. Any player receiving a card/caution will be reported by the match official to the Organising Committee. 5. Should any player(s) receive 2 yellow cards or a red card during a match, they will be immediately excluded from play and take no further part in the competition, except where a player receives it for either:- a) Denying a goal or an obvious goal scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball. b) Receiving a 2nd yellow card caution in the same match. 6. In the above two instances the player will be immediately excluded from play and be suspended for two matches (matches to be determined by the Organising Committee). 7. A player who is excluded from play may be replaced by a registered team mate for subsequent matches, but not in the match he was sent off in. 8. All misconduct may be reported to the Players Club and the County FA. This includes yellow and red cards. This also applies to misconduct by Club Officials or Spectators. 9. If any player or team is reported by the referee for violent conduct they will be asked to leave the event. A report will be submitted to the appropriate Club/County FA/League associated with the Player/Team. Other Matters 1. There will be an 3:00 entry fee payable by all adults attending the event. 2. All adults will be provided with a programme. 3. Respect Barriers will be placed along side each pitch from behind which spectators can observe the match. 4. Managers/Coaches/1 st Aiders, Match Officials and Organisers are the only persons permitted inside the respect barriers or between pitches. 5. No person should stand behind the goals. 6. No gazebos will be erected within 3 metres of the Respect Barriers unless by the organizers. This venue has lots of space for teams to set up camp away from the pitches. There is no need to set up adjacent to the pitches. This will allow other spectators access to view the matches when their teams are playing. 7. All gazebos must be secured and tethered. 8. All those attending the event must adhere to the Code of Conduct printed within the programme.

Playing Rules AYLESBURY UNITED JUNIORS 1. Match duration will be determined by the number of teams entered into each group. The U7 and U8 s will play a maximum total of 1 hour of football per team. For all other age groups, game time will be determined by entry numbers but the objective being to provide a minimum of 1 hour of football. Teams progressing to the knockout stages within the relevant age groups will play more. 2. All matches will be played with no half time. 3. Players are required to wear shin-guards and studded boots. 4. Goalkeepers shall wear a distinguishing playing top. 5. In the event of a team colour clash, the first named team will change into different colour shirts or wear bibs; which they must have available. 6. The ball size shall be that recommended for the age group (Size 3 @U7 U9; Size 4@U10 U14; Size 5 @U15+). 7. The first named team of each fixture must provide 2 match balls. 8. The first named team will have the choice of ends or kick off not both. 9. The kick-off is taken in the centre of the playing area to start the game and after a goal has been scored. A goal cannot be scored straight from a kick off. 10. Repeat substitutions are allowed in all age groups. Entry into the field of play will only be allowed during a stoppage in play and with the permission of the referee. Each player must enter and leave play at the halfway line. Managers are reminded that throughout the event, best practice is that all players should receive equal playing time where possible. 11. There will be NO OFFSIDE. 12. The back pass rules applies. 13. In the event that the goalkeeper picks the ball up from a pass by his own team mate, a direct free kick shall be taken from the edge of the penalty area aligned with where the ball was picked up. 14. Goalkeepers can handle the ball in the penalty area and there are no restrictions on the number of steps they may take when holding the ball. 15. Goalkeepers within the Under 7 s and Under 8 s only may kick the ball out from their hand. 16. For all other age groups goalkeepers may not kick the ball out from their hand. Once in the hand they may return the ball into play by playing it from the floor or throwing it. 17. A direct free kick will be awarded to the opposing team for a goalkeeper kicking from the hand. This will be taken on the edge of the penalty area, aligned to where the offence was committed. 18. Goalkeepers are not confined to the penalty box. Having taken possession of the ball, they may also come outside the area with the ball at their feet. 19. Goal Kicks are to be taken from the touchline either side of the goal. 20. Under 7 and Under 8 s may take a goal kick from the edge of the penalty box.

AYLESBURY UNITED JUNIORS 21. As per the FA Rules in the appropriate age groups, opposition players shall retreat to the half way line for goal kicks. 22. Normal Corners and Throw-ins will apply. 23. ALL FREE KICKS ARE DIRECT. 24. Opposing players must stand 5 yards (4.5m) from the ball at kick-off s, corners and free kicks. 25. A team cannot score direct from the kick-off, a goal kick or a drop ball situation. 26. All other rules are as per normal FA Rules. 27. If drawn after normal time, the Semi-Finals and Finals will go straight to a penalty competition. 28. Penalty Competition: Three players will be nominated from those on the pitch at the conclusion of normal time and each will take a penalty. If the score remains level after these penalties, a further set of three penalties will be taken by the remaining three players. If the score still remains level, further penalties will be taken on a sudden death basis until a winner is decided (penalty takers to continue in order as per the first set of penalties). Only those players on the field of play at the end of a match will be eligible to take penalties. 29. Number of Players The minimum and maximum number of players each team may have on the field of play, one of whom must be a goalkeeper, during a match and registered for their team squad is shown below:- Age Groups Match Format Min No of Players in a Match Max No of Players in a Match Max No of Players in Squad All 6 v 6 5 6 9 30. Teams failing to have the minimum number of players (as shown in the above table) at the scheduled kick-off time or during a match will forfeit the match. For League matches, 3 points will be awarded to the opposing team and a score of 0-0 recorded and in the Knockout stages, the match will be awarded to the opposing team. 31. Disputes: Aylesbury United Juniors FC and the Organising Committee reserve the right to remove from the event any team manager, coach, player or spectator whose conduct is deemed to be unacceptable. 32. In the event of any dispute (including those not covered by these rules), the Organising Committee will have the final decision with no right of appeal. 33. Any changes to these rules will be notified prior to the event or at the briefings held before each session. Where possible, they will be displayed on a notice board at the Control Tent.
