NHHAC News The Newsletter of the North Hills Historic Auto Club March 2017 Volume 47 Issue 3 A Message from the President Well, with the weather so nice in January, I was tempted to drive one of the cars, but I didn't -- it wasn't just the snow or saly, but the potholes! Oh well, spring will be here soon enough. For those of you who missed the Janarury meeting, you missed some nice additions. Daryl Elliott had a sing-a-long. he passed out sheets with the words and also played the music, and we just sang along. (Just two songs so we don't over do it. Also, Daryl had a story telling session. he would like a coupl eof members each month to tell a story about themselves and their car experiences over the years. (Joe Acker would be a great one to tell some of his stories!). Just give it some thought and consider sharing your stories with your fellow club members. For those of you who missed the After Christmas Party, you missed a good time. The food was great and the gifts were over the top! Jack, you and your helpers really out did yourselves! So, on behald of the entire club, thank you for a job well done! On a differeny note, out first trip this year will be a brunch trip to Seton Hill on May 7th. Just call me for details, if you don't make it to the meetings. I will start our Wednesday lunch tours on May 17th, then it will be the 1st and 3rd Wednesday through October. (If anyone would like to plan one of these outings, please feel free!) I'm also trying to organize a trip to Cambridge Springs this summer. Any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to call me. Your President, Steve Illsley Since 1971 History The North Hills Historic Auto Club was founded at Leon s Tavern on Babcock Blvd. in August of 1971, by 4 men as follows: Bill Glesner, Eddie Kuslick, Ken Kelley & Dave Moore. Purpose The general purpose of the NHHAC shall be to encourage the members to acquire, preserve, restore, exhibit and make use of antique, classic and special interest automobiles, and such other motor vehicles considered by the club fitting this purpose. Also, the club will promote the introduction of ideas and fellowship among its members. www.nhhaclub.com

Minutes - February 12, 2017 On February 12, 2017, President Steve Illsley called the meeting to order at Luciano s Restaurant, the site of our annual After Christmas Party. Previous meeting minutes approved. Motion made by Jenn Barker; seconded by Antoinette Quinn. Treasurers Report Current cash balance is 3,963.79. Motion to accept by Daryl Elliott; seconded by Jean King. Wellness Report A get-well to George Sabina, who is undergoing some medical procedures. Old Business WINTER GETAWAY: Walnut Creek Ohio; Carlisle Inn, February 2017 finalized. New Business Rick Kelly has the new 2017 Roster for distribution. Members need to attend meetings to pick up their copies. Jenn Barker received an award from Steve for all her efforts in being our newsletter editor for the last few years. Steve Kelly announced the firm date for our annual Car Show, Sunday, June 4, 2017. Membership needs to attend. Your help and assistance will certainly be appreciated. All members please start formulating thoughts regarding the selling of Ads for our show program. Plan to close your sales late April/early May. Mid May, payment and Ad copy needs to be turned in; need time to set-up and print. If all the members would sell one Ad, our show will be a great success. A huge thanks to Jack Swaney for all his time and effort in planning our After Christmas Party. Another thank-you to Rosemary Scott and Jack Swaney for the procurement and distribution of all gifts at the party. 2/21/2017 Ladies Luncheon, 11:30 a.m., Applebee s Restaurant, McKnight Road. Call Ann Cutulli at 724-265-3238 if attending. With no further business, motion made and seconded to adjourn. Respectfully submitted, Bill Watt www.nhhaclub.com
