Ryde Little Athletics Celebrates Xmas Around The Track

Xmas Message David Sunderland President - Juniors Division Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year Another year gone by with another fun and exciting Christmas Celebration morning hosted by Ryde Little Athletics. In total, approximately 400 athletes turned up to the final day of the season for 2017. It was a great pleasure to have many Life Members, Current Committee Members as well as all our Special Guests enjoy the wonderful morning tea hosted in the VIP tent. It was from here that our special guests were able to view the wonderful morning competition that happens at Ryde Athletics on a weekly basis. A special thank you to Ms Kerry O Keefe (CEO LANSW), The Hon. Mr Victor Dominello MP (Member for Ryde) and Mr Jim Hull (Ryde Sports Foundation and Ryde Little Athletics Trophy Namesake) for accepting the invitation to spend the morning enjoying the Christmas Festivities at Ryde Little Athletics. It was a great honour to have all our special guests present supporting Ryde Little Athletics. Also, a huge thank you to everyone for their great enthusiasm in making the Christmas morning such a success. The morning atmosphere was a happy and lively one with the fun atmosphere further enhanced by DJ Dean, a special visit from Santa and his Happy Helping Elf. The Xmas festivities were a hit and Santa was extremely popular amongst the athletes showering them with a gifted lolly bag. The Tiny Tots were most excited with his presence and couldn t leave him alone - following him all about the track. Santa even picked up another enthusiastic little helper Mitchell McGregor, an adorable Tiny Tot who was dressed up for the morning in his own, very cute, Santa s Little Helper outfit which was such a delight to witness. Thank you to all of Ryde s proactive parents and committee members for all their contributions with ensuring that another successful season of athletics is in place for all of our enthusiastic athletes. A special congratulations to all of our committed, dedicated and enthusiastic athletes who shine on, at all times with their exemplary display of sportsmanship, making the club proud. The 2017-2018 Season starts back up on Saturday, 20th January, 2018. Wishing everybody a very enjoyable Xmas break and I look forward to seeing everybody back at the track in the New Year. L-R Special Guests Ms Kerry O Keefe, Mr Jim Hull, The Hon. Mr Victor Dominello MP, David Sunderland and Christopher Moala
