The cheerleaders who compete throughout each sports season had a school first as they competed at state for the first time ever and had a strong showing placing 7th. As the fall season ended, we also had a first with our volleyball team as they won the school's first ever sectional championship and lost in the regional to the eventual state champion Providence Pioneers. We also had three runners run in the semi state Cameron Ray, Whitley Schirmer, and Talen Taylor. ~David Todd A.D. Vevay Warriors Switzerland County Pacers Patriot Trojans

ONCE UPON A TIME, I ROAMED THESE HALLS! Adam Dennis is a product of SCHS, graduating in 2001. As a student, he participated in basketball, track, and cross country, with the CC team winning conference that year. Present staff members that were here in 2001 are Mrs. Hendricks, Mrs. Sanabria, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Curlin, Mr. Todd, and Kim Stout. Adam said he really enjoyed Mrs. Hendricks class. He said they had a lot of fun! M&M, Vanilla Ice, and George Strait were his favorite musicians. Students didn t have cell phones in 2001, but he liked to play 007 on the Nintendo 64. Punk rock was popular back in the day but he was a self proclaimed dork. Adam majored in math and graduated from Manchester College in 2005. He was hired by SCHS the same year as a math teacher. In 2001 he was named Prom King and in 2014 he was named varsity coach of the SCHS Pacers. SCHS is proud of our home town boy!!! December 2014 Page 7

David Todd named Assistant Principal of the year David Todd graduated from Southwestern High School in 1985 and went on to graduate from IU in 1991. Little did he know then that he would be named SCHS Assistant Principal of the year in 2014. David started working at SCHS in 1997. He was the Pacer Varsity Coach from 2001-2006 and is now in his second year of coaching the Lady Pacers JV team. Mr. Todd has been Assistant Principal and A.D. at SC since 2007. He is very proud to receive this honor from the Indiana Assistant School Principals. We, at SCHS are fortunate to have David Todd as a staff member, coach, and a friend to the staff, parents, and students. When ask what he is going to do next, his answer was, I m going to Disney World! He is also a good sport and appreciates a joke! Thank you Mr. Todd for all you do at SCHS! Pacer Varsity Club dinner a huge success SCHS sponsored the school s inaugural Varsity Club dinner on Nov. 6th. A large crowd of over 200 Pacer fans attended the event to raise money for the Pacer athletes. Guest speakers were former IU basketball players Landon Turner and Ray Tolbert. A buffet dinner was served along with two auctions. The auctions and corporate sponsors raised approximately $6000. Pacer info at www.pacervarsityclub.com.
