AUSKick Report Follow us on Twitter Our Auskick season wraps up this weekend with our final session and presentation on Sunday 9th August. We have had a fantastic season this year with over 90 Auskickers taking part in our program. The year started with a half time grid game at Etihad Stadium in March during the preseason cup. It has been a number of years since we have been afforded the chance to take part in a AFL half time game and our Auskickers loved the opportunity. Other highlights for the year included the Auskick Super Clinic at Simonds Stadium, Josh Caddy visited us during the annual Cats player visit, we held two half time grid games at senior games and a number of Auskickers took part in the Under 9 induction sessions over the past two weeks. With the season coming to a close I would like to thank the club for providing amazing support to the program again this year, particularly Heather Harris, Brian Mudge and Jonno Holt. Our program wouldn t be what it is without the fantastic assistance I receive each week from our coaching group made up of Lee Berger, Wes Marshall and Xavier Watson. Thank you guys for all your assistance and support not only this year but over the past few years. Finally, thank you to all of our Auskickers and Auskick families who have actively participated throughout the year. Your attendance and enthusiasm throughout the year has been fantastic. We hope you had a great season and we look forward to seeing you next year. We are looking for a head on field coach for Auskick next season. Please contact me if you would like further information. Kieser Training Geelong are delighted to have forged a partnership with Newtown & Chilwell Football and Netball club to provide physio, rehab and targeted strength and conditioning services. Kieser Training is a network of Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Strength and Conditioning centres focussed on delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers. Our programs provide long term solutions to musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries, as well as enhancing day to day performance and quality of life. At every Kieser Training centre our physiotherapists have access to world class rehabilitation and strength & conditioning facilities that are typically only found in the world of elite sport. While Kieser provides specialist rehab and conditioning services to a range of elite sporting groups (Geelong FC, Richmond FC, Melbourne Rebels, South Melbourne FC and in the next few weeks the Melbourne Storm) it is the work with local sporting groups that is most important for Kieser Training in building longstanding relationships within local communities. In addition to supporting the footballers and netballers on training nights and match days, players and club members can take advantage of discounted rates on physiotherapy as well as strength and conditioning programs at Kieser. Richard Wallace, the Practice Principal at Geelong, brings a wealth of experience to the club having spent 3 years at the Western Bulldogs as well as spending time on the WSL World surfing tour (in fact Rich has just returned from working at the Quiksilver Pro). Working at the club with Rich will be Physiotherapist Jarrod Matthews, a former elite level rower from Tassie, who has previously managed Pascovale in the EDFL, and has been with Kieser since opening in Geelong just over 12 months ago. The Kieser team will be supporting the club both at training and on match days ensuring the highest level of care for the Newtown & Chilwell players. 13
