New Activities The Gratitude Game: At the time of year we can find ourselves pulled in so many directions. The gratitude game is not for the weak of heart. It involves looking at what you have and being thankful for it. Thankful Rock s: Are a visual reminder to be grateful for what we have instead of focusing our attention on what we don t have. I am Thankful for Poster: There are so many thing s to be thankful for this season. Come express what your thankful for by writing it down on a poster amongst all your fellow residents. College Making with Mod Podge: We are each going to create a college of thing s we are thankful for in our life. Mod Podge is a form of Decoupage. Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts together. Candy Corn Stacking Game: Legend has it that Candy Corn is named such because when you stack it up just right, it look s like an ear of corn. Right, Left, Eat: After passing the candy, pass the dice to the person on the right and they roll. Continue passing the dice around the circle letting people roll, passing or eating the candy until only one person is left with the candy. That person wins the game and a small price. 3

The Best on Earth Veterans If someone has done military service, they earn the title Veteran, and more; they earn our deep respect and admiration; that they are special no one can ignore. They sacrificed the comforts we enjoy; the list is long of all the things they gave. Our veterans are extraordinary people; They re loyal, dedicated, true and brave. When terror and invasion were real threats, they showed us they could handle any storm. We owe our freedoms and our lives to our veterans, who served in uniform. Our veterans should be celebrities; they re exceptional; no other group compares. We re grateful for the many things they ve done; they re always in our hearts and in our prayers. We owe our veterans support and friendship; Let no one ever question what they re worth. These men and women served us and our country. Our veterans The very best on earth. 12
