FRIDAY FLYER Blessed Trinity Catholic School October 27, 2017 Click here for our school calendar Click here for our lunch menus Follow us on Social Media: facebook/btschool @BTSocala From the Principal s Desk! 1. Cold Weather Uniform With our first taste of fall weather this week, there have been some questions about what is allowed as far as uniforms during these days. Please remember that only BT outerwear is allowed on cooler days. These are sufficient for temps in the 50s (even high 40s), and can include leggings or tights and white or red (also black for middle school), long-sleeve undershirts. We will continue the protocol of sending out a cold weather uniform alert to allow jeans and BT shirts with non-uniform outerwear when temperatures dip into the low 40s and 30s. 2. Lunch with your student We love having you join us for lunch. We think our students are awesome, and when you visit for lunch, you are able to see that, too. We do want to remind everyone that you are able to eat with your child or grandchild on Wednesday and Friday only. You must sign in at the main office (by Elementary) and receive a visitor badge. During lunch, you need to sit at the middle round tables or the middle long tables where students are not sitting. We ask that you remember to sit with your student only. When you bring other children to the table, it can create hurt feelings, and we want you to have that time to visit with your child or children and have some one-on-one time. Thank you again for wanting to visit and be a part of our BT Family! 5 SE 17 th Street Ocala, FL 34471 Phone: (352) 622-5808 Fax: (352) 622-1660 btschool.org facebook.com/btschool @BTSocala

3. Birthdays While, Wednesday and Friday are the only days to eat lunch with your child, if you wish to bring in birthday treats, you can do this any day. You are welcome to bring those into the teacher before school (so that they can be eaten in the classroom at snack time), or you can bring them at lunch to share with the class. We need to follow the same lunch procedure, with you checking in at the main office and receiving a visitor sticker. Then you are welcome to go to the Parish Hall with the Birthday Treats. We also encourage you to stay and help pass them out to the children in the class. A few parents have even brought baby wipes to help clean up the icing (especially in the lower grades) and we love that! Lunch can be a busy time, so we definitely welcome any help you can provide by staying with your child s class. As a final reminder, cupcakes, cookies, and doughnuts are much easier to serve and you also need to bring napkins and plates with you if you are serving cake, because we do not have any of that in the Parish Hall. Carnival Appreciation! Special Thanks! Thanks to all who participated last week s Carnival Week events. We were blessed with thousands and thousands of parishioners, friends, and visitors who came to enjoy a very warm family environment at a reasonable low cost. Thanks to all who played a part in pulling off this very organized four-day parish carnival.
