Jim is thirty-one and our twins, Mary and Molly, are seventeen. In between we have three more. My husband, Mark, and I have been going to sporting events, choir concerts, spelling bees, for years. We are going to be sad the day it ends. always seems to have wise answers to questions, and this time it was no different. He commented that being present for our children is what God calls us to do. He related going to events to our relationship with Jesus a very intimate experience that invigorates our lives. When our girls graduate from high school we are going to miss attending their events because we will miss the transformational spirit that is brought about by supporting them. It is a very personal experience. Personal-that is what I hope that you and your children feel at Sacred Heart. Each one of you are precious, each child is incredibly special. I ask for your prayers that we will always strive to make Sacred Heart a school that touches lives in a gentle way; a school where children and families know they are loved and belong. Please check out the video below. Every child and parent pictured is priceless in our eyes. Maureen Engen Principal http://animoto.com/play/armnx6xlayxkg1iawwsbag
