Thursday, July 17 th, 2014 Coastal 2 Southeast 1 Southeast started the game strong by posting a goal within by Colleen Hurley (Braintree) the 6 th minute. From the 18 th yards out, Hurley lifted the ball over the goalie. Ten minutes before the game was over, Coastal answered by scoring 2 goals. Brianna Malaguti (Plymouth) dribbled into the box and chipped the ball in to tie the game. Then, with only 5 minutes remaing, Malaguti received a chance to head the ball from Brandi McDonalds (East Bridgewater) cross. Metro 1 It was a tight battle between Metro and Northeast until they came into the closing minutes of the game. Kesha Porter (Lexington) pulled through and shot a bullet to the left corner of the net from a pass by Amanda Concetti (Waltham). Metro s goalkeeper Caroline Niland (Waltham) helped with the win by standing her ground while in the net. Central 2 West 1 Central came out, out-scoring West with 2 goals in the 1 st period of the game. Kayla Finnegan (Douglas) volleyed past the goalkeeper for the first goal of the game. Gabrielle Guenther (Webster) responded for West again by dribbling into the box and beating the goalie for the 2 nd goal. After the half, West s Molly Cleveland (Athol) was able to score off a penalty kick going into the 44 th minute of the game. Coastal 2 Metro 0 Coastal was able to sweep another win for the day off of Metro in a 2-0 game. Brandi McDonald gained another assist for the day, but this time off of Kali Denty s (Marshfield) goal to the top right corner of the net. Brianna Malaguti (Plymouth) scored her 2 nd goal of the tournament, this time unassisted, by touching the ball past the defender and drilling the ball into the lower left side of the goal. Central 1 For Central s 2 nd win of the day, Jessica Fitzgerald (Uxbridge) headed the only goal of the game. Kayla Finnegan (Douglas) gained an assist by shooting a cross to Fitzgerald s for the goal.

Boys Soccer: Northeast 2 Metro 1 Within the first 2 minutes of play, Christian Goodwin (Beverly) was able to take a shot from 20 yards into the upper right corner of the net for Northeast. Metro later scored to tie the game 1-1. Metro s Roman Davis (Watertown) shot from the left into the opposite corner to score his first goal of the tournament. Northeast s Paul Magazzu (Reading) responded by crossing from 20 yards out into the lower left corner of the net helping secure the 2-1 Northeast win. West 1 Central dominated a 4-1 game against West as Ethan Melia (Shrewsbury) scored twice, and Liam Setterlund (Holden) and William Hicks (Sutton) each scored once. Chad Parent (South Deerfield) was able to score the only goal for West in the first 17 minutes of play. Metro 5 West 0 Metro shutout West as 4 players scored the 5 goals on the game. Roman Davis (Watertown) was able to score his 2 nd and 3 rd goals of the tournament. Dhimitri Dorceus (Watertown) was assisted by Christian Labeck (Charlestown) as he drilled a ball into the top right corner of the net for his first goal. Labeck was also able to get a goal of his own as he headed a ball into the net. At the 54 th minute, Edgar Escobar (Everett) scored Metro s 5 th and final goal by dribbling into the box and shooting into the bottom right past the goalie. Central earned their 2 nd win on the day as they eased past Coastal 4-1. Ethan Melia (Shrewsbury) and Liam Setterlund (Holden) both scored 2 goals during this defeat. Nicholas Woodruff (Attleboro) was able to squeeze in a goal 3 minutes before the game ended by making a diving header into the net.

Friday, July 18 th, 2014 Northeast 1 Early in the game, Sarahkate Norton (East Bridgewater) headed in a shot from a corner kick by Brandi McDonald (East Bridgewater). Northeast responded as Linsey Giles (Bedford) crossed to Jessie Rogers (Billerica) for a through ball past the goalie. Northeast and Coastal ended in a tie at the end of regulation. Southeast 0 For the 2 nd game of the day, Southeast and West battled on the pitch as West 0 no one was able to score on either goalie. Defense on both sides was strong as they both looked to get their first win of the tournament. Metro 0 Central went into this midday game 2-0 and ended it with a solid record of 3-0. Within 2 minutes of the game, Jessica Fitzgerald (Uxbridge) shot a through ball into the far post from Gabrielle Guenther (Webster) starting Central off with a 1-0 ball game. Megan White (Charlton) responded 4 minutes later as her corner kick was kicked off a defender into the net. Another one of White s corner kicks was headed in by Guenther for first goal of the game. Central reacted again and was able to have Devyn Jacobs (Northbridge) dribble and shoot from the left side for their 4 th and final goal of the game. West 2 West came up with their first win of the tournament as Isabella Eduardo (Springfield) scored the only two goals of the game. Kylie Casey (East Longmeadow) set up Eduardo as she scored during the 10 th minute of the match. Katie Cronin (Feeding Hills) set up Isabella for her second goal of the game during the 29 th minute of the game. Southeast 5 Metro 3 Southeast was able to score their first victory of the tournament with a 5-3 win over Metro. Amanda Concetti (Waltham) recorded a hat trick for the weekend with assists from Kesha Porter (Lexington) and the other was off a rebound from the keeper. Meg McFarland (Dedham), Elizabeth Nerger (Marshfield), Alyssa Fallon (Millis) all recorded one goal each during the game. Andrea Bradbury (Dedham) scored 2 goals during the last 23 minutes of the game.

Boys Soccer: Coastal 3 West 0 Josh Medeiros (New Bedford) helped Coastal open up the game against West by posting 2 goals during the game. The first was shot from around 6 yards which was passed from Andrew Martinez (Dartmouth). The second was a breakaway goal that Medeiros took to the net. Martinez also had a goal of his own as he dribbled into the box for an unassisted goal. Northeast and Central ended up battling until the end of the game until Central 2 Cole Acocelli (Sutton) from Central was able to get the ball into the net from about 6 yards at around the 63 rd minute. Central s Tyson Szynal (Sutton) was able to send a cross over to Kyle Archambault (Uxbridge) to end the shut out game making Central 3-0 in the tournament. Coastal s Shane De Sousa (Acushnet) scored the only goal of the game pushing Coastal s record to 2-1 and Metro to 1-2. Metro 0

Saturday, July 19 th, 2014 Northeast and Southeast battled to the very end of the game where no Southeast 0 one scored to take the victory. This game was both teams 2 nd tie of the tournament. Northeast s record is now 0-3-2 and Southeast is 1-1-2. Coastal 0 Central was able to score early and often as Devyn Jacobs (Northbridge) set up Madison Neri (Upton) twice during the game. Delaney Heywood (Charlton) was able to assist in the win by scoring her own goal off a set piece. Jessica Fitzgerald (Uxbridge) scored for Central by a rebound of the keeper. Central moves onto a 4-0 record and Coastal has a 2-1-1 record. West 6 Metro 3 West came out ready to win as there was two goals from Jennifer Anderson (Stow), two goals from Ariana Guenther (Webster), one from Morgan O Malley, and one from Marissa Kelberman (Bolton). Metro had their chances to score but were only able to get 3 past the goalie. Kesha Porter (Lexington) was able to score twice during the contest, one off a direct kick and one from a pass from Amanda Concetti (Waltham). Central 1 Southeast 0 Southeast was unsuccessful in scoring a goal against Central but was able to hold onto a spot to play in the bronze medal game. Central s Jessica Fitzgerald (Uxbridge) shot a laser strike after dribbling through defenders for the only goal of the game giving Central the go-ahead into the gold medal game. Coastal 2 West 2 After great competition between Coastal and West, no one came out with a W. All goals from both teams were scored by only 2 players. Julia Schneider (Bridgewater) was able score twice during the battle for Coastal. Tamara Nicholson (Agawam) scored the two goals for West. This game pushed West to the gold medal game and Coastal to the bronze medal game against Southeast.

Boys Soccer: Sixteen minutes before the end of the game, Andrew Martinez (Dartmouth) scored the only goal of the contest for Coastal which would give them the nod into the gold medal game. Metro 1 Metro and Central battled until about halfway into the game when Roman Davis (Watertown) was able to get it past the goalie for the only goal of the Central 0 game. Metro heads into the bronze medal game with a 2-2 record and Central will play in the gold medal game with a 3-1 record. West 3 Northeast s Tyler Sar (Lowell) scored an unassisted goal during the 18 th Northeast 2 minute of the contest. West s Chris Tracy (Wilbraham) responded 10 minutes later by scoring their first goal of the game. Alex LaRaja (Amherst) scored twice during the 2 nd half of the game giving West the lead 3-1. Paul Magazzu (Reading) on the Northeast, was able to score on a penalty kick during the last minute of the game. West s record of 1-3 gives them an opportunity to play in the bronze medal game on Sunday.

Sunday, July 20 th, 2014 Bronze Medal Game: Southeast 1 Coastal 0 After regulation play, Lauren Farrell (Rockland) on Southeast, was able to score off a penalty kick in overtime. This secured Southeast s bronze medal and gave them a final record of 2-2-1. Gold Medal Game: West 2 Central 1 West was able to squeeze in a second goal during the 2 nd overtime of the game to surpass Central in the gold medal game 2-1. Central s goal by Tsara LeBlanc (Gardner) was the only one to get past West s goalie. Lauren Aldrich (Southampton) was able to score her first goal of the tournament to give West the 1-0 lead before Central s LeBlanc scored the goal to tie the game. West s Isabella Eduardo (Springfield) scored in the 2 nd overtime on a breakaway past the diving keeper to win the game. West s final record was 3-1-2 and Central s was 5-1. Boys Soccer: Bronze Medal Game: Metro 2 West 0 Roman Davis (Watertown) was able to push Metro to a 2-0 win against West securing the bronze medal. Davis scored both goals on the day. Gold Medal Game: Central 5 Coastal 3 Central won the gold medal 5-3 in penalty kicks over Coastal. Central ends with a 4-1 record and Coastal 3-2.
