SHARON DAVIES FOGTMANN Athlete - 2017 Inductee In 1975 Sharon and her partner Robbyn Mintenko won the Women s Doubles title at the Four West Championships in Saskatoon. She then attended Humber College in Toronto where she achieved the title of Mixed Doubles title in Ontario. Upon returning to Lethbridge she succeeded in winning the Women s Singles event at the Four West Championship. LAURIE HOCKRIDGE ROBERTSON Athlete - 2017 Inductee A native of Sparwood BC, Laurie came to Lethbridge College to continue her basketball career. Following high school and some time on the Junior National team Laurie joined the Kodiaks. The University of Lethbridge had originally recruited her but she choose to come to the College. During her time with the Kodiaks Laurie earned every achievable athletic honor within the ACAC and CCAA. KIP KANGOGO Athlete - 2017 Inductee Born in Kenya, Kip moved to Lethbridge on the advice of a friend in 2001. His love of running and wanting to attain higher goals athletically were what fueled his drive to come to Canada. During his two years of competition at Lethbridge College, he earned the ACAC individual gold medal and was recognized as the Athlete of the Year in 2001. Following his successes at Lethbridge College Kip moved to the USA to compete for Brigham Young University and the Texas Christian University. SAI WONG Athlete - 2017 Inductee Born in Hong Kong, Sai migrated to Canada at 8 years old to Medicine Hat, AB. He participated in both Volleyball and Basketball in High School. Sai joined Lethbridge College in 84 where he participated in two sports, Badminton and Volleyball. JOHNNY JASIUKIEWICZ Coach - 2017 Inductee Coach, mentor and friend are words that are commonly used when speaking about Johnny J. He first started his career with Lethbridge College as a Kodiak athlete in 1972 where he was a member of three consecutive ACAC championship teams. In 1984 he began coaching the women s basketball team, then proceeded to guide his teams over the next 8 years to four ACAC titles, three with the women s team and one with the men s. Throughout his coaching career, he easily forged long lasting and close relationships with his players. He spent many hours with his players and often brought his daughters on road trips when the teams travelled. But not only did he invest his time in his athletes during their time playing at Lethbridge College, he also went the extra mile to explore options for those players wanting to continue their basketball careers after leaving Lethbridge College. ALVIN TIETZ Builder/Coach - 2017 Inductee Alvin Tietz, a name synonymous with soccer in Southern Alberta. From being a player, then a coach along with being a builder and supporter of soccer in Lethbridge since 1958. Alvin began coaching in 1985 at Lethbridge College and continued for 11 years, 8 as the men s coach then a one-year hiatus, and returned to coach the women s team for 3 years. In the inaugural year of the women s team, he guided them to a National Championship currently the only one in the programs history. A team that he helped to establish at the College by garnering funding so that the team could compete within the ACAC. Alvin continues to give back to Kodiak Athletics by co-sponsoring a scholarship fund, attending ACAC games and supporting the Kodiak Athletic Association in their projects. 1988 1989 ACAC Coach of the Year 1991 1992 ACAC Coach of the Year 1994 CCAA National Championship Womens Soccer 1996 1997 ACAC Coach of the Year 2017 ACAC Hall of Fame

TIM TOLLESTRUP Builder/Coach - 2017 Inductee Born and raised in Raymond, Tim began playing basketball in high school. After completing high school, he then received a full basketball scholarship at Utah State University. He completed his degree and then returned to Alberta to attend the University of Lethbridge where he played for one year. He was a member of the Canadian National Men s Basketball Team. The team participated in both the Pan Am Games in Cali, Columbia and in a pre- Olympic tournament in Osberg, Germany where they tried to qualify for the Olympics. Tim began at Lethbridge College in 1976 as a basketball coach and assumed the duties of Athletic Director. He served on the ACAC Executive Committee from 1983 1987, and again from 1988 2003. In 1989 the College opened the Val Matteotti gymnasium in which Tim played an integral role in the planning of the facility.
