If so, competitors will be advised. 7. Type of event Rallye Defi Sainte-Agathe/Duhamel is a performance rally of 400 kilometers (300 km for the regional event), with 150 km km of special stages (100 km for the regional event). Special stages will be run on gravel and sand roads. The first stages (First Leg) will be run in Sainte-Agathe on gravel roads (half of the Ste-Agathe stage is on paved road). For the first stages (First Leg), we will use the following starting order: regional entries will start first as the seeded draw order and they will be followed by national entries in the reverse starting order. There is no reseeding after the first Leg and cars will leave the Comfort Inn on Saturday morning as the seeded draw order. 8. Area Longtitude: 74-00 75-30 Latitude: 45-48 46-18 Altitude: first Leg = 1300 to 1500 meters second Leg = 750 to 1300 meters No maps are required for the event. 9. Entries Entries will be accepted until the end of registration period on Friday, September 10, 2004 at 14h00. A maximum of 80 cars will be accepted. Eligible vehicles The following classes will be eligible to take the start: FIA Group N Includes N1, 2, 3, & 4 as per the FIA, CARS and SCCA Open Includes CARS open and SCCA open, Group A and Group 5 Group 2 Includes CARS and SCCA Group 2 Production Includes CARS P1, 2, 3 & 4 and SCCA Production (P3) and Production GT (P4) (SCCA) Coupe du Quebec Group 2 Production 2 wheeldrive Includes CARS P1, 2 & 3

Entry Fees CAN US National 600$ 485$ National and OPRC 650$ 525$ Coupe du Quebec only 400$ 325$ OPRC only 450$ 365$ Included in the fee is a $105 CDN public liability insurance and accidental death and dismemberment premium for insurance coverage during special stages. Fee includes: Service book and 2 tickets to the banquet. Additional ticket: $15 CDN or $10 US. NOTICE : all competitors can buy extra tickets for the banquet up to 16h30 on Saturday, September 11. After this time, tickets will be on open sale. All cheques or money orders must be made to RALLYE DEFI SAINTE-AGATHE. There will be a $100 CDN (National championship) or $50 CDN (Coupe du Quebec/OPRC) penalty for late entries received after August 24, 2004. Post-dated cheques after August 24, 2004 will be refused. Your entry must be confirmed by your cheque. NSF cheques must be replaced prior to the start with a penalty of $100$ CDN. Entries must be sent to Stephane Provencal. Note: 100% of the entry fee will be reimbursed if notice of withdrawal is given before Monday September 6, 2004 at 10h00. There will be a 75% refund if notice is given before 18h00 on Wednesday September 8, 2004. After 18h00 on Wednesday September 8, 2004, no refund will be made. 11 Awards Trophies and money awards will be posted at the rally Headquarters on Friday, September 10, 2004. 12. Documentation An entry form and a waiver are enclosed with these regulations. A pre-odometer check will be available at registration. 13. Eligibility Eligibility will be according to National Rally Regulations (NRR), sections I and II. 14. Timing and Scoring Timing, Controls and Scoring will be as per NRR - IV, V and VI. Timing cards will be used. At controls identified in the route book as collecting points, competitors will give the marshall the timing card and will use the next one. All times given will be elapsed times. To calculate the time out at the end of a stage, the competitor will use the lateness time,unless the time spent in the stage is longer. If this should happen, the competitor will use the time in at finish in hours and minutes. Judges of fact The following are deemed to be judges of fact: the officials named in 6.1 of the GCRs, a CARS director not competing in the event, start line marshalls, and observation control marshalls. The facts they may judge include: arrival time in a control zone, making of a false start to a special stage, speed registered on a radar gun, belts, windows and helmets, illegal service, backing up in control zone.

16. Vehicle advertising Competitors must display on their cars the doors numbers, RDG windshield, CARS door panel, and sponsor decals provided by the organizers. Refusal will entail exclusion from the event. For regional Coupe du Quebec, only teams previously registered to the series will have to display DMS-MOTUL windshield decals. 17. Fuel Stops and Servicing The service route book will allow you to plan service. Besides the route for service stops, it includes: 1. A chart showing the total distance and stage distance run before each service or gas stop; 2. Information on indicated service and gas stop areas. The distance between gas stops will not exceed 75 kilometers. Servicing is limited to designated service areas only. 18. Parc Fermé Inspection Any car finishing the rally in the top three positions of any championship (national or regional or in class) may be inspected if deemed necessary. Reassembling the removed parts will be the competitors responsibility. 19. Miscellaneous a) Distances in the route book will be given in kilometers, and in kilometers and miles in the service book. b) Reseeding will be based on the results from the stages. The new starting order will be established based on the total of all stages, minus the worst result. All rooms are reserved for Rallye Défi Sainte-Agathe / Duhamel, until August 20, 2004. After this date, all rooms are going to be released for general sale. If you have trouble finding accommodations, please call our Competitors Coordinator. 20. RECCE (NATIONAL and REGIONAL) 20.0 RECCE eligibility All teams entering the event may enter the RECCE, no matter if they are registered as national or regional teams. Please take note that we are still providing, as previous years, a typical blind rally format route book. RECCE is available only to add more precision to the road book and is not mandatory. Finally, you are allowed to copy notes (part or all of them) from another team. 20.1 Procedure for registration Competitors must register at rally Headquarters on Wednesday, September 8 from 18h00 to 22h00 or Thursday, September 9 from 06h00 to 8h00 to obtain documents required to do the RECCE.

20.2 Schedule RECCE must be carried out in compliance with the timetable in the program. Breach of this regulation will result in refusal to start the rally. Schedule: 09h00 11h00 Special stage B-1 (Mulet) 12h00 16h00 Special stages B-2/B-4 (Lac Gagnon) + B-3/B-5 (Duhamel) 17h00 19h30 Special stages of Friday evening (all Leg A) 20.3 Specific restrictions 20.3.1 The maximum speed of 60 kph or the posted legal limit, if lower, is imposed on all special stages during RECCE. Competitors are reminded that these roads will be open to the public and, while the organiser will attempt to control traffic flow, competitors should expect to be sharing the roads with oncoming traffic. 20.3.2 The fitting and carrying of radar detection equipment during RECCE is not permitted. 20.3.3 Breach of Article 20.3.1 and, or 20.3.2 about RECCE maximum speed and radar detection will be penalized as follows: First Infringement: Fine $ 100 Second Infringement: Fine $ 500 Third Infringement: Start refused and full forfeiture of entry fees. The Organiser will be using radar to verify compliance with 20.3.1 and 20.3.2. 20.3.4 Competitors will be issued with a RECCE card Wednesday, September 8 from 18h00 to 22h00 or Thursday, September 9 from 06h00 to 8h00, which must be carried in the car for the duration of the RECCE. This card will be stamped appropriately recording every run on each special stage. Failure to produce this card will result in refusal to participate in the reconnaissance. 20.3.5 The full schedule of opening of special stages for the RECCE will be published at rally Headquarters. 20.3.6 Competitors will be issued with reconnaissance numbers that will be fixed to the outside of the rear side windows of the car. Failure to mount these numbers correctly or not displaying them will result in refusal to participate in the RECCE. 20.3.7 During RECCE, competitors may use a street licensed, unmarked vehicle. Competing vehicles are strictly prohibited to participate in RECCE. 20.3.8 Provision is made for a maximum of two passages through each special stage for each entered crew during the RECCE. This regulation concerns also the special stages, which are driven more than once, either in their entirety or in part. The crews are not allowed to drive counter-rally on the special stages, unless given particular directions to do so by the organizer, their representative or the police.
