Animals taken home by buyer or butchered elsewhere will not be eligible because of practicalities related to grading. Placing is determined with criteria established by the Oregon Carcass Steer of Merit Program as revised March 2009. If data results in a tie, Livestock superintendent will be responsible for forming a committee of three local knowledgable individuals to resolve tie. SMALL ANIMALS & FOWL SMALL ANIMALS GUIDELINES AND RULES Class Divisions F, G, H & I Superintendent- Josie Graven 541-893-6466 1. Market rabbits, chickens and turkeys will be weighed in between 5:00pm and 9:00 pm Friday 2. Rabbit showmanship will begin at 8:00a.m. Sunday morning followed by poultry showmanship. 3. Animals will be judged according to breed and variety. Exhibitors may enter up to 5 animals of different breeds per lot. Must arrange for sufficient handlers so that each animal has a handler. 4. Any animal having a permanent defect will be placed in the white ribbon group. Any animal that has a correctable problem shall be placed in the red and white ribbon group at the judge's discretion. 5. Rabbits will be checked for earmites before entering the fairgrounds. Any rabbit found to have earmites will be removed from the grounds immediately. 6. Animals must have water in their pens at all times. 7. No premium for market animals.
