Running a Mile in Their Shoes A perspective piece about the Gator Girls on Track Team by Kenneth Girls on Track is a very fun program to be in. Girls in the program learn that exercise doesn't have to be tiring and boring; it can be a fun and rewarding journey! For me it was an especially rewarding experience to have the opportunity to be one of the two official reporters and photographers for the club. Girls on Track is for girls. I am not in it, (because I am not a girl) but even with only the two days that I was with them photographing, I really got the message that working together is key. I ran with them and found out that this club is not just running. It is also having fun while making new memories and having new experiences. Even though the club is having its final meeting, they will always remember the memories and the experiences leading up to the big end of the year 5K race they participated in on Saturday. The Club Sponsors These girls have worked long and hard for this 5k so give them a pat on the back for their hard work! Girls on track we've got your back! The Gator Girls on Track celebrate a successful first year at River Springs Middle School! The girls enjoy a short walk after their run. 3

Tis The Season for Some Friendly Competition? This year the 6th and 8th Grade houses have engaged in an epic decoration-off! The office specialists, teachers, and even students pulled out all the stops to show they have the most holiday spirit. On Thursday December 11, 2014 Ms. Hinson the 8th grade Assistant principal admitted defeat and the 6th grade team celebrated with dancing and singing! 4

River Springs would like to acknowledge and thank each and every one of our local business partners for all their support! Happy Holidays to you all! 5
