Oilers Ice Center Presents... Summer Showcase 2018 Enchanted on Ice Saturday June 16th, 2018 Eligibility: In order to participate in the Summer Showcase 2018, you must be a current, registered OIC Skating School member, a member of a U.S. Figure Skating Club, or a U.S. Figure Skating Individual Member. Members of U.S. Figure Skating Club's other than Tulsa F.S.C. must provide a letter of permission from their home club. This event is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating and hosted by the Tulsa F.S.C. and the Oilers Ice Center Skating School. Entries and Fees: Solo, Duet and ensemble entries must be received no later than Saturday June 2 nd 2018. There will only be one large show this year. therefore no more than 35 entries (programs) will be accepted. Acceptance is on a first come, first served. There is a $20.00 fee for returned checks Show Times: Saturday, June 16th 3:00 pm, We are planning for one large show. Fees : Solo Performances: $20.00 per skater Duet / Pair (2 skaters) Performances: $15.00 per skater Ensemble (3 + Skaters) Performances: $12.00 per skater Practice Times : Solo, Duet, and Ensemble skaters will practice at the discretion of their private coach and will pay the coach separately as a private lesson. If you are in our Lean to skate program and would like to be in a group number please fill out the build a group information sheet and turn in as soon as possible. We will try to make appropriate groups out of the forms turned in. Registration: The registration desk will be in the lobby of Oilers Ice Center. Participants must check in with a monitor at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. Skaters will be directed to their assigned locker room and backstage monitor.
Music: Attached to the announcement is a list of music choices for you to pick from. ALL MUSIC IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE and will only be allowed to play once during the show. Therefore as soon as you have picked your music for the show, the sooner you get registered the better chance you will have at getting to skate to the song you have chosen. If there is a song choice that you believe compliments our Enchanted theme but it is not on the list of approved choices, you may ask for approval via e-mail. Please submit your request to jessie@oilersicecenter.net. All participants must provide their own music on CD/CD-R only. CD-RW's will not be accepted. Skaters must submit a copy of their music with their entry form NO EXCEPTIONS. C'D's will be returned a few days after they are received. We will post a list of songs that have been chosen in the lobby and try and keep it a current as possible. Program Requirements : Participants may skate at any level from Snowplow Sam 1 to Senior. Skaters can skate in up to 4 programs. Programs may not exceed the program time limits established by U.S. Figure Skating. Programs must be choreographed and approved by an instructor. Solo, duets and ensemble skaters will only perform in one show. Official Notices : All official notices regarding the 2018 Summer showcase will be posted on the Skating School bulletin board, located to the right of the concession stand in the lobby. Guests : Skaters are encouraged and allowed to invite at many guests as they would like. Admission to this event will be one caned food, or non perishable item, that will be donated to the Tulsa Food Bank. Pictures and Videos : Flash photography will not be permitted. Individuals may use hand held cameras but no rink powered outlets may be used. A DVD of the show can be purchased at your convenience for $25.00. T-Shirts : T-shirts can be pre-purchased for $17.00 or can be bought on the day of the show for $20.00 while supplies last. Practice times: Coaches will try and accommodate the skaters as much as possible that are in there group when looking at practice times.
