LLT Academy Cheer Program To Parents and Cheerleaders: LLT Academy takes great pride in their cheerleading program. To make this a reality, we must have 110% cooperation from you. A cheerleading squad, like any other team takes a great deal of hard work, cooperation, time and caring on the part of the cheerleader, the parents, the coach and the administration. Guidelines must be set and followed in order for a team to reach its full potential. Please read the following guidelines and information thoroughly. PLEASE download GROUPME on your cell phones (available for Apple and Andriod). This is the desired form of communication from the coaches to the parents. Once your forms are returned, coaches will add parents to Elementary and Varsity groups. Please be sure cheerleaders and your parents read these rules, regulations as well as the Concussion Information Sheet. Please read the attached information on regulations and demerits. Rules and Regulations 1. You must maintain a "C" average. Coach Clemmer will check grades weekly. 2. All parents of elementary school cheerleaders MUST travel and be present at ALL competitions. 3. All social media (Twitter, Facebook, SnapChat, InstaGram, and others) should not have unnecessary /inappropriate photos, text and/or graphics or inappropriate discussions about cheerleaders, coaches or the school. Any games of initiation, hazing or pranks will not be tolerated. This behavior will result in immediately removal from the team. 4. You must always be concerned about your moral standards, good behavior at school, be dependable and show leadership because ALL EYES ARE ON YOU!! 5. Any cheerleader who is hurt or injured shall attend practice and competitions dressed out in proper attire for that event and shall follow all practice and game rules. 6. Cheerleaders will attend all practices and competitions unless excused by Coach Cheryl, Clemmer or a LLT administrator. This includes parties, church functions, and last minute family trips. 7. Cheerleaders will not use foul language at school, practice or competitions or any fusing, fighting, or gossiping among cheerleaders, or crying because we lost the competition. 8. Cheerleaders must be at school at least ½ day on practice and game days. If a situation occurs that detains or keeps you from practice or games you must inform Coach Cheryl or Coach Clemmer. 9. No boyfriends sitting with, behind, or in the same section with cheerleader while cheering. Talking to friends or parents while cheering or doing things other than cheering will not be allowed. No sitting in bleachers with boyfriends while in uniform. 10. Parents if you need your daughter for any reason while she is cheering at practice a game, or competition please come to Coach Cheryl or any other Asst Coach. DO NOT interrupt, talk or coach your daughter during practice or games. 11. No jewelry at all. This includes ALL earrings and body piercing rings. 12. All cheerleaders will respect their Captains. If there are any issues of concern, please notify Coach Cheryl, or an Asst Coach. DO NOT approach your Captains with your issue. 13. All parents will pick their daughter up on TIME after practices and games. Lateness will be means for dismissal from the team. If you child is not picked up by 5:15, you will have to pay for After Care.
LLT Academy Falcons Cheerleaders Demerit System 1 Tardy/Leave early to a practice or performance (tardy is defined as not being dressed and ready to perform at the exact time assigned) If a squad member arrives/leaves in excess of thirty minutes tardy, she will receive unexcused absences. 1 Inappropriate practice clothing (Team t-shirt and shorts, cheer shoes, poms, hair ponytail, no jewelry, or fake fingernails 1 Incomplete uniform (socks, ribbons, shoes, poms, school hoodie, etc.) 2 Any jewelry worn during practice or game or competition 2 Unexcused absence from practice or mandatory meeting. 1 "Goofing" or "Horseplay" or talking during games or practices or competitions. 1 Causing/participating in a disturbance with other squad members 5 Unexcused absence from any game or performance 5 Performing any stunts without the presence of a coach. 5 Cursing or arguing with other squad members or official at any time 5 Continuously getting out of position in game lines or talking in game lines. 5 Disrespect to a captain or coach Benching : The coach is the only person authorized to issue demerits to cheerleaders. Once a cheerleader has received ten (10) demerits, she will be removed from the squad. 4 demerits: Cheerleader will be benched 6 demerits: Cheerleader will benched for a competition 8 demerits: Cheerleader will be benched for 2 competitions **If a cheerleader is benched, she must report to the competition dressed in uniform and sit with the coach.
LLT ACADEMY PARENT/CHEERLEADER AGREEMENT My child, has my permission to be a cheerleader at LLT Academy. I understand that he/she must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the coaches and the principal of LLT Academy and be present for ALL practices and games. I have read the rules and regulations and understand that violation of any of these rules may lead to temporary or permanent suspension from the squad. I understand and give permission for my daughter/son to ride with the coaches and/or other parents when necessary. I understand that forms attached must be completed by the day of practice or my child will not be allowed to practice. I understand that my child must attend all practices (unless excused by the coaches), and games. I understand all cost included and will pay by the deadline. I understand by the nature of the activity, cheerleading and gymnastics carry a risk of physical injury. No matter how careful the participant and coach are, how many spotters are used, or what landing surface is used, the risk cannot be eliminated. The risk of injury minor injuries such as muscle pulls, dislocation, and broken bones. The risk also includes catastrophic injuries such as permanent paralysis or even death from landing or falling on the back neck, or head. I understand these risks and will not hold LLT Academy, its Coaches or any personnel responsible in the case of accident or injury at any time. I understand the risks stated above. I promise to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the coach and the principal of LLT Academy. I promise to cooperate and follow the instructions of the cheerleading coaches and my Captains.
