Quickstart Installation Checklist (Please refer to operation manual for complete installation instructions) 1. Uncrate blender from packaging. 2. Lift the blender and position over machine throat or floor stand; set in position and secure by tightening bolts. 3. Mount the material conveying system receivers on top of the blender supply hoppers. 4. Align the weigh hopper on the load cell brackets. 5. Check the slide gate metering assemblies to ensure they freely slide back and forth. 6. Provide a correctly sized and protected power supply to the unit. The standard Slide Gate/Auger blending system is designed to operate on 120-240/1/60 or 110-220/1/50 supply voltage. A single 15A service is sufficient for most blenders (verify this with the blender s name plate information. If local electrical codes require fusing or disconnects, these items must be supplied, wired, and mounted by the customer. Each blending system MUST be connected to a separate source of power. 7. Attach the operator touch screen to the MAIN DISPLAY port on the blender. Always disconnect the power supply before servicing the unit. 8. The Slide Gate/Auger blending system requires approximately 1 CFM (1.7 m³/hr) at 60 PSI (4.14 bar) maximum air pressure to operate properly. (See figure below). The air supply should be filtered through a 5 micron air filter with a water separator. 9. The blender should use a dedicated line to ensure proper air supply. To prevent damage to the equipment, do not exceed 60 PSI (4.14 bar) air pressure. Always disconnect the air supply when conducting any kind of maintenance. Unit Operation (Please refer to operation manual for complete instructions.) 1. Check to make sure all ingredient supply hoppers to be used are filled with material. 2. Turn ON the blender using the ON/OFF selector switch on the control panel. 3. Wait for Main Recipe Screen to appear on the touch screen; it may take up to one minute. (See figure below). 4. Enter the recipe using the operator touch screen. Press Accept New Recipe when finished. 5. Press the Push to Start or Stop the Blender to begin the blending process.

Press the Done key two times until you return to the Recipe Page. 4. Enter your new recipe as described above, if necessary. Touch Here to Change
Checking the Calibration (Please refer to operation manual for complete calibration instructions.) NOTE: It is not necessary to calibrate the weight scale on a brand new blender; although, it is recommended that the calibration be checked periodically to ensure that the reported inventory totals are accurate. A bad calibration is worse than no calibration in most cases. 1. From the Recipe Page, touch the AEC icon and enter 5413 ; then press the key. 2. Touch Calibration and then Direct Scale Readout. (See figure below.) 3. Remove the weigh hopper if possible to do without tools (Don t do this for OA blenders). 4. Locate the weight display for each load cell,or one load cell for OA blender with an HC style mixer. Record values. 5. Add the calibration weight to each load cell mounting bracket and record the value displayed in weight, as in step 4. 6. Subtract the values recorded in steps 4 and 5. This is the measured weight. If the measured weight is within 0.003 lbs. of the weight stamped on the calibration weight, then it is within specification. If not, then follow the steps below to calibrate the blender. 7. Store the calibration weights in a safe location DO NOT DISCARD! Direct Scale Readout Display Current Loadcell Weight Current Loadcell Weight Calibrating if necessary 1. From the Recipe Page, touch the AEC icon and enter 5413, then press the key. 2. Touch Calibration and then Scale Calibration (see figure below). 3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the calibration. 4. The blender will evaluate the calibration and indicate if it is properly calibrated. 5. Press the Done key three times, and you will return to the main menu.
