Hot Off The Presses Picture retake day is Tuesday, October 29 th. If your child was absent, there is an extra order form in the main office. If you did not like the previous picture, you can have that retaken. You must bring the packet with you. Come See the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain @ Iowa State Center Sunday, November 17 th - 7:30pm The Ukulele Club and Sudlow students will be going to Ames, Iowa to see the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain perform live. This is a once in a life-time opportunity to see a fun, unique performance. This is a group of all-singing, all-strumming Ukulele players. (For more information on the group and event, follow the link to the ISU event page: http://www.center.iastate.edu/events/variety/ukulele-orchestra-of-great-britain/) We have a number of seats available on a first come first serve basis. The cost of the trip is $16 which includes transportation and a ticket to the show. To reserve a seat or for more information, complete the attached form and deliver it to Mr. Pepper. Mr. Adams 8 th grade science class has an assignment (called DHMO1) due Monday. Students are doing this assignment through their Google Drive account. When they are done with the assignment, students should share the document back with Mr. Adams. Student Council and Vocal Music are selling poinsettias for the holiday season. They are in 6 pots with 7 or more blooms. They are $10.00 each and come in red, white or growers choice which are the novelty colors. See a Student Council member or vocal music member to place your order they will be delivered the first week of December. Our 2nd PTA Meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, November 5th, from 7-8pm in the Library/Media Center on the first floor. You needn t be a Sudlow PTA member to attend, however, if you d like to become one, the fee is $7.00. We will have volunteer sign up forms and PTA Member sign up forms available at our meeting. Meetings are casual, comfortable and informative. There will also be opportunities for you to sign up to volunteer for upcoming events.

BOX TOP$ - Look for General Mills products when you shop! Then, just clip the coupons, send them to the office, and Beth deblois, our parent volunteer, will turn them in for CASH. Thank you for making this happen, Beth! K&K HARDWARE When you re checking out, tell the cashier Sudlow, and they will happily make sure that 5% or your total purchase will go to Sudlow. (No matter how large or small of a purchase you make that day!) SCHNUCKS Be sure to pick up an escrip card at the service desk or when you check-out. Once you call in to register, just present your card (fits on your keychain), and we will receive 3-5% of your monthly purchases. TARGET By using your VISA REDcard, not only will you save 5% each time on your personal purchases, but 1% of your total purchase will go to Sudlow among other good things for education! Meal Applications Attn: To all parents of students who have received free/reduced meals last year New applications must be filled out each year for your student to continue to receive free/reduced meals. Applications must be filled out online at https://farapp.davenportschools.org/ before Sept. 24th, 2013.
