No Arrival prior to 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 25. RELEASE: All breeding sheep will be released at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 28 1. Exhibitors entering open classes in this division should familiarize themselves with the General Rules and Regulations, Livestock Entry Rules and Show Ring Code of Ethics in this Exhibitor Handbook before completing entry form. 2. Exhibitors entering junior classes should familiarize themselves with Junior Show Rules, General Rules, Livestock Entry Rules and Show Ring Code of Ethics before completing entry form. 3. Entry forms are available on our website www.ozarkempirefair.com or at the Ozark Empire Fair Office. Entry forms may be photocopied. Entry may also be made online at www.ozarkempirefair.com. 4. All animals to be shown in pen classes must be entered and shown in individual classes. 5. Colored wool sheep must be registered with a breed association or with a natural colored association. 6. Registration and health papers must be in order as they will be checked against the information on the entry form upon arrival on the Fairgrounds. 7. Entries close June 15, and those mailed must be postmarked no later than midnight of this date. Late entries may be accepted through June 25. Entries postmarked after midnight June 15 and through midnight June 25 must be accompanied by the penalty fee of $10.00 per head in addition to regular stall and admission fees. 8. Pens and location in barn will be designated only by superintendents. Bedding will not be furnished. 9. To prevent deceptive practices and to provide judge with complete facts, exhibitors will be required to give date of last shearing of all animals exhibited, together with affidavit, if the judge so desires or the superintendent in charge so rules. All animals stubble shorn or trimmed to an unnatural shape will be discriminated against by the judge or may be barred altogether from competition if, in the opinion of the judge or the superintendent in charge, the deception is great enough to warrant same. 10. SPECIAL RULE - DIVISION 1 SHROPSHIRES: ALL Shropshire entries must be SLICK SHORN. Wool may be left below the knees and hocks and on the face and head from the poll forward; the remainder of the body is to be shorn to the skin within five days of the show date. 11. Junior Show: Use Division numbers below. Use class numbers listed in left-hand column below. CLASSES DEFINED Base for Computing Ages - Lambs must have all lamb teeth if they were born after September 1, 2017. A certificate of registration will be recognized to determine the age of each animal in classes other than lamb classes. September 1 shall be the base date for computing ages.
