Repertoire Buggé Ballet tours with seven to nine dancers. Rosa Encadenada Rosa Encadenada tells the story of a conflicted woman. Feeling imprisoned as an upscale escort, money comes easy but happiness is hard to find. She struggles with the decision of whether to continue the easy existence or face the unknown. Arranged with a Spanish flair, this sensual work showcases nightly interactions between five women and two men clad in bustles....seductive whimsy Eye On Dance and the Arts Tightrope Tightrope tells the story of four women s journeys through the ups and downs of an American southern fair season. Clad in sneakers and ballet buns these modern, yet free spirited, women express their southern sweetheart flair through an engaging blend of contemporary and traditional ballet.

Re p e r t o i re Fa s c i n a t i o n Flashing back to the glamour of the 1950s the audience is transported into the world of two lovers. Stumbling through the basic waltz, the viewers are delighted with the awkwardness of a new relationship. The couple evolves, smoothly and gracefully gliding across the floor. Peeking into different windows of life as time passes by, outside political situations cause a disruption in the romance. A g l e ze l e v a y n Inspired by the rhythmic music of The Klezmatics, this original dance integrates traditional folk motives with the choreographer s knowledge of classical ballet and transferred to the nine dancers. Each performer s relationship with the others were carefully chosen to demonstrate many aspects of life as they portray a celebratory evening scene; as the night passed by they appear more intoxicated. The piece presented a kind of zest for life and a playful spirit that was easily absorbed by the audience. fitengine.com

Re p e r t o i re Fo r e s t o f Mi r r o r s Forest of Mirrors is a surrealistic dreamscape following a young woman through her journey to find a more idealized version of herself. Choreographer Nicole Buggé explores this theme through a free flowing organic quality in a constantly shifting forest of dancers; the young woman s movements are distraught and naïve as she sees an idealized version of herself peaking through the trees....actively engag[ing] its audiences through innovative musical demonstrations, a brilliant touch. examiner.com Viscountessa? Struggling with the confines of what it means to be female in the Baroque era, five women search inside to find acceptance or rebellion. Clad in dark restricting hoop skirts and large collars the women navigate complex contemporary choreography en pointe. Moments of surrender and disobedience paint the stage as one dancer finds the strength to be free.

Artistic Director Nicole Buggé trained at American Repertory Ballet s Princeton Ballet School. She holds an MFA in Dance from New York University s Tisch School of the Arts and a BFA in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. Nicole has performed with Richmond Ballet in such works as Balanchine s The Four Temperaments, Rubies, and Serenade, Exit 12 Dance Company, Second Avenue Dance Company, Amaranth Dance, Neville Dance Theatre, mishidance, Classical Contemporary Ballet Theatre, Nolan Seda Dance, Humanistics Dance Company, The Charles Weidman Dance Foundation, Anahata Dance, and in original works by Deborah Jowitt, Cherylyn Lavagnino, and Sydney Skybetter. Internationally, Nicole also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Accademia dell Arte in Arezzo, Italy where she presented her choreography. As the Artistic Director for Buggé Ballet, she choreographed works for the Second Avenue Dance Company, showcased original dances at the FAB! Festival, Fertile Ground at Greenspace, Dixon Place, Spectrum, Bryant Park, and was commissioned to create pieces performed at Lincoln Center and with One World Symphony in NYC. Her work was exhibited by The Riverside Theatre in Harlem as part of their 2013 NuDance Festival. Most recently, Nicole was selected as a winner in Rider University s Emerging Choreographer s Competition and has been seen on WHYY PBS Friday Arts Series in the spring of 2014. This summer, her choreography will be performed at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland as part of the 2014 Booking Dance Festival with Jodi Kaplan & Associates. When she s not on stage or in the studio Nicole can be found working as the Listings Editor for Dance Magazine. www.buggeballet.com For more information contact: Nicole Buggé, Artistic Director buggeballet@gmail.com
