Facility Description Situated in the community of Hampden Township in Cumberland County, Armitage Golf Club is a short drive from Harrisburg, Baltimore, and Philadelphia. Armitage Golf Club measures over 6,000 yards from the back tees with a par of 70. Armitage combines challenging greens, strategic bunkering, narrow and sculpted fairways into an exciting test for golfers of all skill levels. FROM POINTS SOUTHWEST (CARLISLE, CHAMBERSBURG, GREENCASTLE): Take Route 81 North to Exit 61 (Wertzville Rd.). At end of exit turn right. Counting light at end of exit ramp go to the third red light and turn right onto Orr s Bridge Rd. Course is 2 miles on left. FROM POINTS SOUTH (YORK, BALTIMORE): Take 83 North to Camp Hill Exit. This puts you on 581 West. Take Mechanicsburg Exit. Follow exit ramp ¾ of the way around and bear left to stop sign. Make left onto Central Blvd. Go to first traffic light and turn left then immediately right (road is offset from light) onto Orr s Bridge Rd. Course is 2 miles on right. FROM WEST (PITTSBURGH): Take PA Turnpike East to Exit 18 (New Cumberland). Take 83 North to Camp Hill Exit. This puts you on 581 West. Take Mechanicsburg Exit. Rules and Regulations Golf Course Starting All players must start on the 1 st tee unless other arrangements, such as a shotgun start, have been made through the Armitage Pro Shop. Players should be in their carts ready for announcements 15 minutes prior to start. Please note this on your brochures during signup so they can tee off on time!! Rules of Play Play on the golf course shall be governed by the tournament contract as well as these rules and Regulations and is to be distributed by the coordinator to all participants. All players are expected to play ready golf. All players are expected to keep pace with the group in front of them not the group behind them. Marshals are on the golf course to ensure the pace of play. Any group(s) who falls behind may be asked to skip holes to catch up. We want everyone to have fun but finish within the allotted time frame. Refusal of Privileges The tournament group is responsible for proper conduct while on the golf course property. The tournament is responsible for obeying the posted daily cart path rules, replacing divots, repairing ball marks, and raking traps. Unruly behavior, foul language, throwing clubs, and hitting shots into groups will not be tolerated. All golfers will be expected to adhere to proper golf etiquette. The professional golf staff at Armitage Golf Club shall have the right to refuse golf course privileges to anyone who is judged to be in violation of the established Rules and Regulation. Decorum Outing participants are required to wear clothing that is customary to golf. Collared shirts are required, no tank top or any type of cut-offs are permitted. Armitage Golf Club is a non-metal spike facility. Each player must have his /her own set of clubs when playing the golf course. No more than one player shall play out of one bag. Armitage Golf Club has rental clubs. Any tournament spectator, volunteer, or caddy must be over 16 years of age. Any tournament participant or event spectator/volunteer deemed to be acting in an inappropriate manner will be asked to leave the golf course. Food and Beverage All alcoholic beverages must be purchased at The Caddy Shack Restaurant, in accordance with Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Laws. The professional golf staff, rangers and/or management of The Caddy Shack Restaurant will confiscate alcoholic beverages not purchased at The Caddy Shack Restaurant. Those who disregard these rules as determined by the professional golf staff at Armitage Golf Club, golf participants, volunteers or spectators will be asked to leave the golf course property without refund.
