WITNESS IN COURT Raced wide from the 600m. HINCHINBEEL Lay outwards under pressure near the 100m. MATER REMEDY Had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight. QUALUP BELLE Impeded for clear running for a short distance on straightening and again near the 100m. CAPRICORN DANCER Held up for clear running from 250m until angled outwards approaching the 100m. EXPLOSIVE QUEEN Impeded for clear running between the 400m and the 200m. NORTHERN REWARD A post race Veterinary examination of the gelding which tired in the straight revealed it to have returned with low grade exertional heat illness. RACE 2: DRUM PRINT MAIDEN - 1500M CAPTAIN BONEHEAD Buffeted between runners passing the 200m. SUPER BOWL Raced wide through the early and middle stages and was carried wider from the 500m. ANDREINI Rider reported that from the gelding s wide barrier today he allowed it to settle back in the field which has been its general racing pattern apart from at its previous start, when it was caught wide and was obliged to be ridden forward where it had led to alleviate having to work hard by being obliged to cover extra ground. Raced keenly in the early stages and approaching the 1300m when being steadied got its head in the air was obliged to race wide through the early and middle stages and was carried wider from the 500m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. CAPTAIN JACK Steadied from heels near the 1200m. Eased to avoid heels near the 200m and was then impeded for a short distance. CLASSIC SWING Raced wide throughout. FIORITO Lay outwards under pressure and bumped another runner near the 200m. GASTON ROAD Blocked for clear running over the final 150m. ROVANIEMI A post race Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding returned with a minor laceration to the near fore heel.
PINJARRA : 24.1.16 141/2 Race 2 Continued BOOYAH BOY Slow into stride losing one length. Held up for a short distance on straightening. PARISIENNE LADY Shifted ground inwards slightly near the 200m and bumped. MISSISSIPPI SAMMY Steadied near the 1200m. Held up for clear running from on straightening until near the 100m. RACE 3: CHASE BARS & BISTRO MAIDEN - 1300M ENDLESS SPIN Over raced in the early stages. THREE OH THREE Rider reported that that gelding raced greenly throughout. DRIVE ON ICE Cast its off hind plate in the mounting enclosure and subsequently raced without it. Raced wide with cover throughout. CORRESPOND Held up for clear running from the 400m until taken inwards near the 150m. CAN I TRADE Slow into stride. RIVER JUSTICE Raced wide on straightening. KATRINA SKY Raced wide with cover throughout. Rider expressed disappointment in the performance as it had failed to run on in the straight. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. ASIAN PEARL Raced wide throughout. Over raced in the early and middle stages. KENDEL'S CORNER Rider reported that the mare hung outwards throughout. A post race Veterinary examination revealed it to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer Miss J Mitchell was advised that the mare would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again. Due to its uncompetitive performance and racing manner, Trainer Miss J Mitchell was advised that the mare must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to starting in a race again. THIS IS HUGE Slow into stride. Gear Change: CAN I TRADE Nose Band Off RACE 4: CHASE BARS & BISTRO MAIDEN - 1300M VITAL SHOTZ Raced ungenerously throughout running and got its head in the air near the 900m when improving onto heels. Raced greenly in the straight when continuing to race in an ungenerous manner. BOUND FOR GLORY Lay inwards in the early and middle stages. THE GOSPEL SIN Raced wide on straightening. KAZACHKA Race wide throughout. SHARREADA Steadied when close to heels near 900m. Lay outwards over the final 150m. BEARING LUCK Raced wide with cover throughout. BESSIE DAYLIGHT Raced ungenerously through the early and middle stages and got its head in the air on a number of occasions and near the 900m was steadied and lost ground. GOLD CLASS GIRL Slow into stride. Shoeing Change: VITAL SHOTZ Bar Shoe Off (Off Hind) General: Apprentice R Tan (MAMBAZO) in accompaniment of with senior rider Mr W Pike was shown a section of the race replay from after he attained the lead near the 1100m and he was told to maintain an even pace and to not reduce the speed of his mount in order to prevent field compaction or further action may be taken against him.
PINJARRA : 24.1.16 141/3 RACE 5: MANDURAH LOCK & KEY HANDICAP - 2312M CRAFTY RED (NZ) Raced wide with cover through the early and middle stages and was taken wider from the 700m to improve its position. Returned having cast its near hind plate during running. BANANA BOY Bounded on jumping and lost two lengths. Raced in restricted room near the 275m and was steadied. Held up from 200m until approaching the 125m. MASTER ROBSON Raced wide throughout. TONED Taken wide from the 500m to improve its position. Lay inwards in the straight. BLACKVICE Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Steadied when racing in restricted room near the 300m. Impeded for a short distance near the 275m. SAXSONIC JACK Lay inwards from on straightening with rider swapping the whip to his left hand near the 100m. GREATER IMPACT (NZ) Rider reported that the mare was under pressure prior to the 400m and failed to respond to his riding in the straight. A post race Veterinary examination of the mare revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr W Mitchell will be contacted to discuss the performance and his future intentions. CAPPO D'ORO Held up for clear running between the 400m to the 225m and was steadied when close to heels passing the 275m. RACE 6: STATEWIDE OIL HANDICAP - 1000M BLACKSMITH Knuckled on jumping losing two lengths. BRACKETS Held up for clear running from the 400m until near the 200m. EXCUSE ME MAK Jumped awkwardly losing approximately two lengths. A post race Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to have returned with an elevated heart rate and was slow to recover. POINT TO THE SKY Slow into stride. Raced in restricted room near the 400m. Steadied from heels near the 200m. ROGER THE ROMAN Commenced awkwardly. Bumped near the 200m. Rider reported that the gelding had a tendency to shift ground away from another runner near the 200m. TRULY MAGICAL Slow to begin. LORD APOLLO Steadied from heels passing the 200m and then was impeded for short distance. OPEN ERA - Bumped near the 200m. Shoeing Change: TRULY MAGICAL Bar Shoe On (Near Fore) RACE 7: NEOMETALS HANDICAP - 1600M ZONTE was a late withdrawal at 4.42pm after Trainer Mr L Smith had initially advised that he experienced a float breakdown and had attempted to secure alternative transport, however he was unable to achieve this with sufficient time to have the mare on course and consequently it was a late withdrawal. Stewards subsequently order that all monies wagered on ZONTE be refunded in full and with regard to betting with bookmakers all successful wagers made prior to 4.42pm to be subject to the following deductions in the dollar on the face value of the ticket: 1 st ) EXCELLENTLY less 24c win and 19c place 2 nd ) READY TO FIRE less 23c place 3 rd ) NEW CONCEPT less 24c place FRESCO FRIAR Slow to begin losing three lengths. FALCON CREST Taken outwards across heels near the 200m to obtain clear running. SECONDMENT Slow into stride and failed to muster early pace and lost some ground.
PINJARRA : 24.1.16 141/4 Race 7 Continued JAGEMUP Had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight with the rider changing the whip to his left hand approaching the 250m. NEW CONCEPT Veered outwards on jumping. Steadied from heels near the 1200m and was taken outwards. RACE 8: MEN & LADIES FASHION ON THE FIELDS FEB 7 HCP - 1400M WHITE HOUSE BOY Raced wide with cover through the early and middle stages and was taken wider when improving its position from the 500m. SKIP TRACER Raced wide in the early stages until crossing to be positioned outside the leader near the 1000m. Trainer Mr K Jeffries advised following the disappointing performance that it was now his intention to consider a gear change including the use of a tongue tie for future starts in an attempt to improve its performance. TOTAL REJECT Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages. KILAT Raced wide from the 700m. POLITICS Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Rider reported that the gelding lay outwards throughout. SHAZLICK Commenced awkwardly. BLACK GRAPE Slow to begin losing two lengths. Taken inwards near the 200m to obtain clear running. LOOKATER Race wide throughout. Rider reported that the mare lay outwards in the straight. GOLD OPERA Bumped shortly after the start. GENERAL Routine specimens were taken from all winners. The following horses were selected for pre-race blood samples to be taken: Race 2. GASTON ROAD Race 3. CORRESPOND, RIVER JUSTICE Race 4. Fines: SUMMARY Race 1 Trainer A Oram (MASKED VIRTUE) was fined $100 under ARR 140A for presenting in the mounting enclosure without its approved gear (presented in Blinkers). Race 4 Trainer Mr N Parnham (VITAL SHOTZ) was fined $100 under ARR 140A for failing to advise of a shoeing change. Race 3 (ASIAN PEARL) and Race 5 (MASTER ROBSON) Trainer R Churchill was fined $25 under ARR 175(k) for negligence in failing to provide the registered colours which resulted in the use of the Club s racing colours.
