GENERAL SHOW RULES 1. AQHA rules apply: It is entirely the responsibility of each competitor to complete entry details correctly, and all owners and riders of registered Australian Quarter Horses must be financial members of the AQHA if points are to be recorded. 2. ENTRIES: Read carefully. All entries received or postmarked after closing date will incur a 25 late fee. This will include any nominations received but where monies are not paid prior to the commencement of the show. 3. PROGRAMME: The committee reserves the right to cancel or combine any event with insufficient entries. The Judges decision is final. Events will be run under the rules of the AQHA, HSAA and the by-laws of the CQQHA Inc. 4. For all Registered Quarter Horses & AQHA members - A copy of your AQHA current membership/amateur cards and Quarter horse registration papers will be required with nominations. 5. LIABILITY: CQQHA Inc. will take no responsibility for any loss, damage or theft to any persons/horses, vehicles or property while at these shows. All competitors compete at their own risk. 6. NO HORSES are allowed on the grassed areas of the Showgrounds. All horses to remain in stables when not being ridden. PLEASE NOTE Horses must NOT be washed/hosed down inside the stables shed complex wash bays are provided! All manure must be removed from the wash bays. 7. Youth classes 18 years of age and under and must have parent/guardian signed consent. 8. TEMP MEMBERSHIP: 15.00 per person per show is applicable to non members of AQHA or CQQHA or Affiliate Club. If member of Affiliate club, proof of membership must be provided. 9. WALK JOG CLASSES: Open to Beginner and Improvers only. 10. BEGINNER: Is a Rider who has won no more than 3 wins with 5 or more horses. No improver classes or Open Classes can be entered. Horses can be ridden in a snaffle bit or a curb bit (two handed). 11. IMPROVER: Is a Rider who has won no more than 3 wins with 5 or more horses. Eligible for open classes. One win in an open class of 5 or more horses in a class you will be ineligible for improver classes. Horses to be shown as per their age (ie Snr horse must be ridden one handed in a bit). Open class does not include the Walk, Jog classes. 12. In case of EI virus outbreak the Central Qld Quarter Horse Assoc will not be responsible for any costs incurred or monies lost by an outbreak of EI to a competitor, spectator or volunteer. 13. Failure to abide by AQHA, CQQHA rules & DPI&F Bio Security & CQQHA Bio Security rules MAY result in instant disqualification from all shows and forfeiture of any monies paid or owing to the competitor. 14. ALL DOGS TO BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES (regardless of size). ANY dog faeces MUST be picked up. 15. Refund Policy A. If the show is cancelled - full refund/credit will be given excluding admin fees B. If the show is postponed you must advise the club within 7 days of receiving notice to receive a full refund/credit excluding admin fees 16. REFUNDS: Definitely no refunds after closing date unless accompanied by a current Medical or Vet Certificate. Nomination refunds/credits excluding admin fees, will only be given when show secretary receives appropriate certificates i.e. vet certificate or doctors certificate within 7 days of the event being held. 17. Any monies not collected at the end of each show for back numbers or stable refunds will be forfeited. No refund cheques sent or credits carried over to future events. 18. BACK NUMBERS: Back numbers will be allocated per horse / rider combination and must be displayed when competing NO back number or INCORRECT back number no placing.

COMPETITORS/PATRICIPANTS AT CQQHA EVENTS GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT Competitor s/participants at any event run by Central Queensland Quarter Horse Ass. Inc have a responsibility to ensure the welfare of their horses and at all times to treat their horses humanely and with dignity, respect and compassion. Competitors/participants are to conduct themselves in a professional manner and act with integrity in all dealings with the Affiliate and other competitors. To uphold the rules and regulations of the Central Queensland Quarter Horse Ass. Inc and the AQHA at all times. Competitors/participants are to demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times, showing respect for your fellow competitors and officials, following the rules and to treat people the way you yourself wish to be treated.
