Introduction First of all, congratulations and thank you for downloading The Marathon Chase System. I call it The Marathon Chase System because it focuses on runners in the longer distance chases. Some of the races are serious slogs so it takes a particular type of very fit horse to succeed in them! The system has a deceptively simple set of selection criteria but don t let that fool you. It has produced consistent profits year in and year out since 2008 and it throws up selections that are significantly underbet. I hope you enjoy it! Kieran Ward MYBP Ltd P.S. The System The rules of this system are simple but very effective. From the start of November through to the end of April, back horses that fit the following criteria: Trained by DE Pipe Running in a 3m-4m4f chase Priced between 13/8 and 25/1 at the off The rules are so simple you might think it unlikely that such a system could be profitable but you would be very wrong. Backing to level stakes of 50 since January 2008 would have produced profits of 9,233 at industry SP. These profits could have been massively improved by using Betfair or taking an early morning price (when feasible to do so). It is also worth remembering that these profits have been produced from only 309 bets an average of 1 bet every 3 to 4 days throughout the winter months. Staking Plan Be wary of systems sellers that advocate the use of a staking plan to overcome flaws in their product. A system worth its salt will usually hold its own to level staking, and The Marathon Chase System does just that. Great profits can be made using a level staking plan. The graph below shows growth of betting bank since Jan 2008 betting 20 level stakes. However, more excitingly, vastly increased profits can be produced using the power of compounding. The graph overleaf shows growth when staking 1% on all selections starting with a 2000 bank and recalculating your stake at the end of each calendar month. 5
