Minutes from February meeting approved by Bill McMahon & Walt Postava. Thanked mark for running February meeting in his absence. Mark, (Asst. Director) 2 weeks ago it was 79 degrees, took a ride to W.VA. DALE, (Treasurer) Reported February deposits were $347.00, expenses of $49 for stamps for newsletter, leaving our current balance at $2707.16. Approved by Mel Bundy & Wayne Syrek. Thinking about possible bus trip to Milwaukee for next year. Bus holds 52, we need 40 to cover the cost, will have a sign up sheet next meeting. NEW Business, Gina Sluder opened a discussion to give a donation of money to Luke Box for setting up our new website. Bob Sluder made a motion to give him $100 seconded by Dale Linkenheimer, everyone was in favor of this. THANK YOU LUKE! Page 4 ROAD CAPTAIN S REPORT March 14, 2017 MARCH 2017 VALLEY CHAPTER HOG NEWSLETTER -The Road Captains, Activities Director, and some other members met at Towne Square Restaurant on Feb. 23 rd. We talked about several different rides, some over night, some that one day trips, and also looking into some dinner rides because that was mentioned at last month s HOG meeting. We do have the ride scheduled to Tionesta leaving McMahons on April 19 th. A time needs to be set to meet and leave. We also discussed some possibilities for the Memorial Ride for Bill Livingston (possibly July or August). We also talked about some Saturday or Sunday afternoon rides so that the staff at McMahons will be able to attend as well. I was selected to serve as head road captain for this year. -Road Captains, Activities Director, and anyone who would like to attend, will be meeting at Towne Square Restaurant next Thursday, March 23 rd at 6pm. I would like to begin selecting dates for some of the rides that have been discussed. There will be a nice list of rides to choose from and we can have some great times riding with members of our chapter. -One ride that I do know of is the Scrabble Run held by Cornerstone Church of God in Meadville. Some of our members participated in this last year and it was a great ride and a really good meal afterwards. It will be Saturday, July 15 th. -The following dates are listed on the Pittsburgh Pro Rider Website for training classes: The classes are 8:30 4:30 (with a lunch break bring your own lunch). Last year s classes were held in Lobaugh Rd., Oakdale, PA. May 13 Sat. May 21 Sun. June 17 Sat June 25 Sun July 1 Sat When we select a date, participants will need register on line for that date and pay the fee. There is still room for others to sign up, we have 11 people interested at this time. Let s talk after the meeting a few minutes to see about selecting a couple of possible dates.
