SJVA Daily Bulletin January 19, 2017 School Wide Announcements Show your school spirit and support SJVA s Vocal Clubs! They will be selling Vocal club t-shirts! If you need an order form, please stop by the front office. They are due January 27 th to the front office! Craving something sweet, salty, or spicy? Need some refreshments? Come by room 47 during High School lunch or after school to purchase snacks and drinks. Your purchases will help students reach their spring break destination: New York and D.C.!! Elementary Announcements Friday Fun Fest will be on Friday January 20 th for K-5 th students! Location: Room 25 Time: 3:00pm-8:00pm Cost: $25.00 and $5.00 for siblings Please turn in your form to your teacher no later than January 19 th!
Middle School Announcements Missing Assignment Policy Any students that have four or more missing assignments when the bi-weekly progress reports are printed will be assigned an hour of additional support each day until those assignments are turned in (students in enrichment will be assigned an additional hour). If the assignments are not turned in by the end of the week the student will be assigned a Saturday School for additional support. Campus Cleanliness Please make sure you throw away all your food and trash during lunch, passing period, and on the ramps by the classrooms. If trash and food is being left behind, restrictions will be placed on lunch and passing period policies, detentions will be issued, and Houses will lose points. Dress Code Outerwear (Jackets, Coats, Hoodies, Sweatshirts, and Scarves) (G/B) Must be solid color in maroon, white, black, navy blue, tan, brown, or gray with no name brand logos, emblems, writing, or pictures. Suit coats can be worn if they are solid color in maroon, white, black, navy blue, tan, brown, or gray. No print or stripes. Heavy winter coats do not need to be solid in color and may not be worn inside the classroom. Solid or printed scarves may be worn appropriately tied around the neck with no inappropriate language or images. Head Coverings (G/B) SJVA or solid colored plain visors, beanies, fedoras and caps without logos, embellishments, writing, or pictures are allowed on campus for the purposes of sun protection. No other head coverings are permitted, including scarves, hairnets, athletic sweatbands, beanies, and bandanas. Hats or beanies of any kind may not be worn inside any classroom or SJVA building.
High School Announcements Attention Seniors! SJVA Senior Scholarship Packets are due January 30 th! Please submit them to the Counseling office! Help NY/DC students reach their spring break destination! Come by room 47 every Tuesday during lunch to purchase delicious pizza slices for $1.50 each. FAFSA Workshop Night MSJC representative will be conducting a hands-on workshop on how to file FAFSA. Parents and students please join us on Wednesday January 25 th from 5:30pm-7:70pm in room 50. High School Class t-shirts are now available for purchase January 17 th February 3 rd! The price is $10.00 and order forms are available in the front office, room 25 and online through the SJVA Announcements. Please turn in completed order forms and cash to RM 25 or the front office during lunch, or before/after school. For any questions see Ms. Meza in room 25.
SJVA Sports Due to the weather, M.S. basketball and Varsity due to the weather we will be rescheduling M.S basketball and Varsity Soccer pictures for the following week. Here is the updated schedule: M.S Boys and Girls Basketball: Tuesday, 1/24/17 @ 3:30pm Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer: Wednesday, 1/25/17 @ 3:30pm Soccer: The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves soccer team won Tuesday s conference game against Public Safety Academy by a score of 2-0 Boys: The boys played a complete game from beginning to end and improved their overall record for the season to 6-2, including a 2-0 record. Girls: Girls soccer had a huge 12-0 win over PSA on Tuesday! Melanie Guido, Samantha Prudencio and Juliana Torres (also finished with 3 assist!) each scored twice. Linda Zarate, Jalen Thompson, Alyssa Swenson, Marissa Ruddell and Savannah Naasz each added a goal of their own. Basketball: Boys: The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves boys basketball team lost Tuesday's home conference game against Orange Vista by a score of 68-27. Girls: The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves girls basketball team lost Tuesday's home conference game against Orange Vista by a score of 46-34. Lianna Stedham had a team high 13 points and Alexus Hernandez finished with 10 points.
