OFFICIAL RULES FOR THE APRIL 15, 2018 KEENELAND $3,000 GRADE ONE GAMBLE Contestants must be at least 21 years old by December 31, 2018. $3,000 entry fee and live bankroll may be paid in advance, or $500 down payment with balance due in cash on day of contest, with a maximum of two entries per person no partner entries. (Contest entry: $1,000 Live bankroll: $2,000) The Keeneland Grade One Gamble is limited to 200 individual players. Keeneland reserves the right to expand the contest if space is available. (An also-eligible list of six players will be posted in the event of no-shows.) Owners and trainers with a horse running at Keeneland on the day of the contest must declare that interest and may not play any race in which that horse is entered. Keeneland employees, mutuel clerks and employees of United Tote, Breeders Cup, and NTRA are not eligible to compete. Registration will be held on a first come, first served, basis, online at https://tickets.keeneland.com/breederscup/online/default.asp, beginning at 10:00 AM EST Thursday, February 15. Payment will be available through credit card only, and contestants will use the Keeneland ticketing system. Online payment will be accepted through Discover, American Express, Master Card or Visa. Prior to the beginning of the contest, all participants who wish to compete for the NTRA National Horseplayers Championship spots must be registered as 2018 members of the NHC Tour. The fee for 2018 is $50, and may be paid at www.nhctour.com. ESTIMATED PRIZE SCHEDULE BASED ON MINIMUM 200 CONFIRMED ENTRIES The first six finishers will receive: (1) a fully paid berth into the 2018 $10,000 Breeders Cup Betting Challenge at Churchill Downs and a fully paid berth in the 2019 NTRA National Horseplayers Championship including hotel and $400 in airfare expenses. The seventh through tenth place finishers will receive a fully

paid berth in the 2019 NTRA National Horseplayers Championship including hotel and $400 in airfare expenses. Prize money will be paid to the top fifteen finishers, with $40,000 to first, $20,000 to second, $10,000 to third, $5,000 to fourth, $3,000 to fifth, and $1,500 each for 6 th through 15 th. For each entry received in excess of the minimum 200, prize money shall be increased by $1,000. If a top ten finisher has already qualified the maximum number of times (2) for the National Horseplayers Championship, or is not a member of the NHC Tour and is therefore not eligible to compete in the Championship, the berth(s) will go to the next-highest finisher. The double qualifier will receive a transferable $3,000 paid entry into a Keeneland tournament of his or her choice in 2019. If a win in this tournament results in the winner receiving a 2 nd entry into the NHC, no further travel allowances shall be paid but the qualifier will receive an additional hotel stay at Treasure Island. A player may qualify to the NHC twice, but only once in any single NHC qualifying event. Should a player qualify a second time for the NHC, and should he have already received travel and hotel awards for the first qualification, the second qualification will earn a complimentary fourday stay at Treasure Island in lieu of additional travel and hotel awards. If one of the Keeneland prize winners has already qualified for the BCBC, or does so in any manner later in the year, they will be permitted to transfer the BCBC berth awarded in THIS contest to another person. There is no cash option or other alternative of the BCBC berth to the top five finishers. Prizes are based on a field of 200 entries; a lesser number of entries will result in corresponding reductions in the number of spots to be awarded and a reduction in the prize money. General Information Contestants not checked in at the contest table on the fourth floor outside the Lexington/Kentucky Room between 11:00 a.m. (ET) and 12:45 p.m. (ET) will forfeit their entry fee and will be replaced by an also-eligible contestant. ( Also-

eligible contestants must also check in during that time.) The contest will consist of the nine live races held at Keeneland on Sunday, April 15, 2018 and will be held in the Lexington/Kentucky Room on the 4th floor of the Keeneland grandstand (accessible via Elevator C). Please see dress code requirements below. Please see rules below for alternate races to be selected in case of cancellation of live racing. OFFICIAL STANDINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE LEXINGTON/KENTUCKY ROOM ONLY. (PLEASE NOTE: THE DRESS CODE IN THE LEXINGTON/KENTUCKY ROOM WILL BE RELAXED FOR THIS CONTEST; BUSINESS CASUAL (COLLARED SHIRT AND SLACKS, NO DENIM OR SNEAKERS) IS ACCEPTABLE. Contestants will use a numbered contest card when making wagers for the contest. Contestants must bet at least $400 per race in a total of at least five races in win, place, show, exacta and/or trifecta wagers. (No multi-race, superfecta and Super High Five wagers are eligible for contest play.) If a contestant s bankroll falls below the $400 minimum, he or she must bet all in (the total amount of their bankroll) in the next race that he or she plays. Failure to follow this requirement will result in disqualification, unless the tournament director determines that outside factors affected the contestant s ability to wager the minimum amount. In addition to the 5-race requirement, contestants must wager at least 50% of their bankroll on either the 8 th or 9 th race. The ½ bankroll race does not count as a $400 minimum race. Therefore, each contestant must bet a minimum of six races. If the contestant wagers ½ of his or her bankroll on the 8 th race, the 9 th race may be used for a $400 minimum race to meet the minimum requirements. PLEASE NOTE: CONTESTANTS MUST BET AT LEAST 50% OF THEIR BALANCE (OR 100% IN THE CASE OF A BALANCE LESS THAN $400) ON ONE OF THE FINAL TWO CONTEST RACES. IF A PLAYER FAILS TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT, HE OR SHE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM ALL PRIZE MONEY AND BCBC/NHC BERTHS, UNLESS THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR DETERMINES THAT OUTSIDE FACTORS AFFECTED THE CONTESTANT S ABILITY TO WAGER THE MINIMUM AMOUNT.

The player with the largest bankroll BALANCE after the final race will be declared the winner. Balances will be available for withdrawal after the final race has been run and the contest placings have been declared official. There are no caps on payoffs, but payoffs which trigger IRS withholdings will only be credited for the net amount returned to the player and not the entire amount of the payoff. Any foreign contestant who is subject to special withholding regulations, for the purposes of the contests, will receive manual adjustments to his or her bankroll to equate the effective net amount to the amount that would have been received by a contestant with a Social Security number. These manual adjustments will be reversed prior to the contestant cashing out. If a late scratch occurs or a horse is declared a non-starter in any contest race, the contestant must return to the Contest Only window to cancel the ticket and select another horse for the contest race. If a late scratch occurs or a horse is declared a non-starter and post time prevents the selection of an alternate horse or bet cancellation, the contestant will not be disqualified for failure to bet the minimum amount and any live tickets bet will be in play. It is the contestant s responsibility to check all mutuel tickets before leaving the window. Discrepancies should be corrected immediately at the same Contest Only window. Please keep all contest mutuel receipts until the final standings have been declared official. In the unlikely circumstance that Keeneland live racing is canceled in full or in part, the following procedure to substitute races for the contest will be followed. The Tournament Director will designate the races to be substituted for the original tournament races in the following priority: (1) Races remaining from Gulfstream Park; (2) Races remaining from Santa Anita; (3) Races remaining from Woodbine. After a waiting period of approximately 30 minutes, these races will be selected in the above priority and will be chosen consecutively. For example, if Keeneland cancels live racing after five races, and if there are at least four races remaining from Gulfstream Park, those races will be substituted for the final four races of

the tournament and the rules will remain exactly the same. If Keeneland management is unable to implement the substitute races due to weather, Tote issues, power issues, etc., if Keeneland has completed at least five races the contest will be declared official and all prizes will be awarded. If under these circumstances fewer than five races have been completed, the contest will be declared a no-contest, the contestants will receive the amount of their existing bankrolls, and entry fees will be refunded. In the event of a tie among the winners, the prize for that place will go to the contestant with the highest amount wagered. If still tied, the prize will go to the contestant with the highest single winning payoff. If still tied, the prize will be decided by a coin flip. Prize money will be divided equitably among the tied contestants. Cell phone usage is prohibited in the contest area; texting and internet are allowed. ALL players receiving monetary prizes will be required to sign IRS forms. Keeneland reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. By registering, contestant agrees that in all rulings, the decision of the contest coordinator is final. Prohibition of Collusion Collusion among players shall be grounds for immediate disqualification and forfeiture of all entry fees and tournament prizes. According to Merriam- Webster, collusion is defined as a secret agreement or cooperation especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose. For the purposes of tournament play, the tournament director shall have full and final authority as to the occurrence of collusion among players. Examples of collusion are, but are not limited to, the following circumstances: Dutching of multiple entries in different names to gain an unfair bankroll advantage. In other words, the collusion among two or more players to cover many or all combinations in a particular race.

The use of multiple entries to wager all or a substantial portion of players bankrolls in an effort to pool interests to maximize bankroll. For example, six entries among three players go all in on a particular race on separate horses, and one entry remains with a balance. Any blatant strategy among two or more players to combine entries that results in an unfair advantage. For example, when examining wagering patterns it is discovered that two or more players coordinated their wagering choices on multiple races. To further the necessary transparency for managing a high-level live bankroll tournament, all players must disclose the existence (but not details) of any financial arrangement with any other player participating in the tournament. This disclosure will not be required for any interests outside the tournament. This will be accomplished through affidavit on the day of the tournament. Finally, in order to protect the integrity of the awarding of prizes and NHC/BCBC berths, prize money and NHC/BCBC berths will be awarded after an audit period of no more than five (5) business days. Players will be able to withdraw the balance of their bankrolls at the conclusion of the tournament.
