I would encourage everyone to browse our web site and take advantage of this information. Grounds Report Course Condition 2017/18 Winter is all but over and the grass looks like it came through the freeze and thaw just fine. We did remove slush and cut drain channels through ice a couple of times on greens, but overall, we had good snow cover without a lot of ice build-up. This is the kind of winter we like. All turf areas look great from what we can see. Mowers and tractors are getting their finishing touches and we'll be ready to move outdoors again as soon as the ground firms up. Winter Work - Tree removals Trees taken off the course this past winter are part of a long-term plan to improve turf quality and to keep up with wear damage. Work was done along the 8 tee, 4 green/5 tee, and along 14 and 15 rough. On some parts of the course, trees planted 60 years ago to beautify the property have outgrown their spacing. They're always hard to part with, and as we survey which trees are to come out, we look at three criteria to try to leave as many as possible standing: Exposure/aspect in relation to sun position. Tree health (mower injury/disease/insect) Aesthetics/Strategy These guidelines allow us to leave trees that are likely to be the longest lived and most effective at maintaining the beauty and strategy of the hole. We expect increased turf quality and recovery from wear will be noticeable in the coming years thanks to these removals. Drainage Projects We completed two drainage projects that were causing playbility and turf loss problems on 13 and 16 greens. We wanted to improve 13 bunker and surrounds and do the same treatment to right of 16 green. We brought in our Course architect, Barry Jordan, to walk through a few ideas with us and settled on a solution for both areas. To date, neither of the areas hold water any longer and the improvements in the surrounds should give all levels of golfer more shot options. New tee color Last year we experimented with a set of forward tees as part of the PGA Tee It Forward

program. From the PGA website: "To help golfers have more fun on the course and enhance their overall experience by playing from a set of tees best suited to their abilities. Tee It Forward encourages all golfers to play the course at a length that is aligned with their average driving distance. Golfers can speed up play by utilizing tees that provide the greatest playability and enjoyment." The tees were a hit and we're bringing them back in a more permanent way with a larger mowed area and permanent embedded green marker showing where the tee area is. Tee off anywhere in the mowed area within a couple of club lengths and enjoy yourselves. Ben Kilmartin - Green Chairman Steve Kurta - Superintendent Reciprocals: Although not every Club from last season has reconfirmed their reciprocal arrangement with us as of the printing of the Bogey, we are confident that all of those from last year will again participate with us during 2018. Those clubs are; Ballston Spa, Beaver Meadows, Binghamton C. C., Cazenovia Golf Club, Cazenovia C. C., Cedar Lake, Clifton Springs, Cortland C. C., Elmira C. C., Geneva C. C., Ithaca C. C., Mendon Golf Club, Oswego C. C., Seven Oaks Golf Club, Skenandoa Golf Club, Stafford C. C. and the Yahnundasis C. C. In addition, we have requested a new reciprocal arrangement with Corning C. C. in Corning, New York and are optimistic that this Club will be added to our list of reciprocal arrangements. As a reminder, ALL reciprocal play must be scheduled through our Pro Shop as each of these clubs has different policies and criteria for reciprocal play. Please adhere to this policy so that you do not jeopardize future reciprocal agreements or incur personal embarrassment when play is refused at a course because proper protocol was not followed. Further information re: each club can be found on our website at: www.tuscaroragolfclub.com Dear Members, The staff in the Pro Shop would like to welcome you back for the 2018 golf season. As you read through the following updates, the Pro Shop Staff is busy preparing for another wonderful season at Tuscarora Golf Club. Staffing Changes

Jason Wall will be returning as the first Assistant Professional. Chris Maneri has decided to take the assistant professional position at Highland Park Golf Club. We wish him the best in his new venture. We are currently in the process of recruiting a second Assistant Professional to work alongside with our current staff and will update you once the position has been filled. Bill Perry Sr. will be returning to lead our bag room staff with their daily responsibilities. Online Tee Times One of the Pro Shop Staff s primary goals for this upcoming season is for all members to use the online tee time system, Tee-On Golf Systems that has been in use for the past two years. The staff believes that this program will make life at Tuscarora Golf Club easier and more transparent. Additionally, with the dedicated use from all members, this program will allow the Pro Shop staff to provide better service and be more well prepared and equipped for your arrival. Please contact any member of the Pro Shop staff if you have any issues or questions as we move forward towards completing our goal. Bag Storage and Pull Cart Storage Great News! The Pro Shop has a few open slots anticipated for the storage of your golf clubs here at the Club House. The cost for storing your bag for the 2018 season is $70 per bag. This is a great opportunity to save yourself the trouble of lugging your clubs around all season long. Additionally, you can keep your clubs looking brand new with complimentary cleaning service after each round. Unfortunately, the Pro Shop does not currently have any pull cart spaces available for storage. This may change, so periodically check in with staff members. If pull cart storage becomes available they will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Seasonal Golf Cart Passes Seasonal cart passes are available for purchase. All members who had purchased cart passes for 2017 will automatically be signed up for the 2018 season. If you wish to cancel your cart pass for this season, please notify the Pro Shop staff immediately so you can be billed accordingly. Communication The Pro Shop communicates via email quite frequently and it is the fastest and most convenient way for the staff to communicate with the members. It is the staff s intention to send at least one email each week with updates and announcements. If you did not regularly receive emails last year, please provide us your most up-to-date email. Lessons Lessons will begin as soon as the driving range opens for the season. A variety of lesson packages will be made available and the staff is willing to customize and create lessons based on what you feel is best to improve your game. Driving Range The driving range will open as soon as picking golf balls is permitted. An email will be sent to notify you of when the Range officially opens. Similarly to last year, the driving

range tees will be on the mats every Monday and Thursday. Please take this into consideration when you plan to come to the range to practice. Pro Shop Hours Monday Tuesday-Friday 11:00am-8:00pm 7:00am-8:00pm Saturday and Sunday 6:00am-8:00pm *Hours are subject to change on poor weather days and later in the season. Restricted Play Resident Members Only Junior Members Fridays from 12:00pm-1:30pm Saturdays 6:30am-11:00am Sundays 6:30am-10:30am Saturday and Sundays after 2:00pm The Pro Shop staff would appreciate it if all players checked in with the Pro Shop before they tee off. This allows the staff to know who is on the property and can notify you of any group play or incoming weather issues. All play must begin on the first hole unless permission is given by someone on the professional staff. Merchandise and Demo Days The Pro Shop will be fully stocked and competitively priced. Look for great brands including Titleist, FootJoy, Under Armour, Ping, and EP Pro to be represented in our Pro Shop this season. If the Pro Shop does not have an item or brand you are looking for please let a staff member know so that special arrangements can be made. Demo days are currently being scheduled with representatives from Titleist, Mizuno and Bridgestone. Dates and times will be made available in the upcoming weeks with on-site professional fitters from these companies to help you with all your club needs. The Pro Shop staff is looking forward to a fun-filled 2018. Please stop by as the weather clears to say hi. Hopefully we will be swinging our clubs shortly. Have a great rest of your winter and think SPRING!!!! Scott Webster PGA Website: We have upgraded our website with a new host. This will make the site more user friendly. The calendar will now be a google calendar which you can overlay onto your calendar. There will be a new password for the membership directory, I will email to you when the site is live. We plan on having the site live by April 1. Thank you, Nancy E. Nojaim

Tuscarora Golf Club Wednesday Men s 9 Hole League **Limited to First 120 Players** League play will begin on Wednesday, April 25th. Depending on the number of teams, we ll most likely have shot gun starts at 5:00pm for the first three weeks and again at the end of the year for the last three weeks, ending on or about September 12th. The cost of league including skins will remain $115.00 per player. Please enclose a check made out to Tuscarora Golf Club and mail to PO Box 276 Camillus NY, 13031. As always, if you sign up to play in league, you are expected to be there every week and when you cannot be there, to arrange for a sub to play in your place. We have an active sub list and we would encourage you to be a sub, if you can t commit to playing every Wednesday. As noted in the application form below, there is a place to list a preferred partner. This was tried out last year and it seemed to work out nicely. The only rule is that you cannot partner with someone that you have partnered with in the past 5 years. Please note that Flights will be based on total handicap of the two man team. In order to play in the league this year the board has mandated that all Outstanding Balances and All 2018 Dues must be paid in full by April 1 st. No Exceptions. Return this Form by Wednesday, April 4 th Name Handicap Preferred Partner Best Phone Number to reach you on E-mail Wish to be a Sub Only Name HDCP

Tuscarora Women s Golf Association TWGA (Tuscarora Women s Golf Association) is the organization for women golfers at Tuscarora. Your annual due ($40) entitles you to play in any of the women s golf events throughout the season. Membership in TWGA is not a requirement to play in any league event; however, cost without membership is $22 per event. Anne Marie Donohue is the TWGA President for the 2018 golf season. If you have any questions please contact her at 315-439-2168. SAVE THE DATE Ladies Night Out Thursday April 12, 2018 Watch your email and Facebook for details TWGA Spring Meeting Our Spring Meeting will be on Tuesday April 17, 2018. Dinner will be at 6pm with the meeting immediately following. Dinner will include Tuscy salad, Panini, soup and rolls for $15. Please sign up for the Spring dinner in the TWGA registration below, dinner will be charged to your account that evening. This is a perfect opportunity to catch up on plans for the 2018 golf season as well as catching up with old friends or a chance to meet some new ones. New members are encouraged to attend. TWGA Communication Again this year there will be two ways to receive TWGA and League information: Facebook please like our page at https://www.facebook.com/tuscaroragolfclub or search Tuscarora Golf Club. This page will be undated throughout the season for league information and events. Email an e-mail address has been established and will be used for all TWGA only information. Feel free to use this email to communicate to the TWGA board as well. The address is TuscaroraWomensGolf@gmail.com Lockers Lockers are assigned by the TWGA. Mary Cook is our contact for the lockers. If you need or want a locker please contact Mary at mcook6@twcny.rr.com. There is a one-time fee of $5 for new lockers or if you need a replacement key. League Sub List If you are unable to commit to playing in a league every week or are unsure you want to play in a league, please consider signing up as a league sub this year. Subs are always needed, especially in the Twilight League. Subbing would give you an idea of what the league play is like and also give you an opportunity to meet other members of the club. There is a section on the TWGA registration form (below) to sign up to sub. Please indicate which league you are interested in subbing in and your available tee times. 18 Hole League Back to Tuesdays The 18 Hole League is moving back to its original Tuesday morning slot. The trial of moving to Thursday in hopes to increase play seemed to have caused more confusion for members as we were unable to get Thursday morning

dedicated to our Ladies League. We appreciate everyone s willingness to try and hope this year the league will see increased numbers being back to the original day. As always there will be a lot of fun and camaraderie. This year s format will be game play. Each week a team of 4 will be made up from the weekly sign-up sheet and the teams will be organized by flights. You will not need a sub. The type of game will change every week, and a weekly cash prize will be paid out to the winning team. There will also be Sweepstakes play by flights A-D, the same as we ve had in the past and the Ringer game will be available this year for those who choose to participate. League Dues are $20 18 Hole Chair: Jan Anthony Twilight League Please join us on Tuesday evenings for the 9 hole Twilight League. Tee times start at 4pm and the format is 2-person best ball, with each team member playing their own ball, using handicap, and whichever team has the lower score for the hole receives a point for that hole. We are condensing into 2 flights this year, and we will be flighting teams based on handicap. We will accept requests for partners this year; however, if you would prefer not to pick your own partner the league chairs will pair you with someone of similar handicap. If you elect to pick your partner please pick someone who has a similar handicap as we try to keep the teams and positions even. League dues are $15. Twilight Chair: Kirsten Marshall (kmarshall1872@gmail.com) Wed AM 9 Hole League The 9 hole league is played on Wednesday morning. Tee times start at 8am, alternating front and back each week The 9 hole league plays a different format every week, including Best Ball, Chicago, 1-2-3, Captain and Mate, etc. We invite non-league golfers to join us. There is a sign-up sheet in the locker room for each week of the season or email Nancy at nen711@aol.com by Monday. Depending on the number of players we have groups of 3 or 4. Cost to nonleague players is $1 per round. Prizes are awarded each week. League dues are $15. 9 Hole Chair: Nancy Nojaim League Chairs: Pat Nojaim and Nancy Nojaim Ida Pirro Classic The 2018 Ida Pirro Classic will be held on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday August 12, more details on format will be communicated during the summer. The Ida Pirro Classic is the season final golf outing for all TWGA leagues. Please mark your calendars and plan on participating.
