PRESIDENT / GENERAL SECRETARY NATIONAL WEIGHTLIFTING FEDERATIONS AFFILIATED TO THE PAWF OFFICIAL INVITATION Dear Friends, The Dominican Weightlifting Federation has the commitment to organize the XXIV Pan American Weightlifting Championships 2014, to be held in Santo Domingo, capital city of the Dominican Republic from May 25th to June 2nd 2014. The Pan American Weightlifting Federation and the Dominican Weightlifting Federation invite to all the affiliated federations to participate in the Pan American Championships Santo Domingo 2014, last qualification event to the Pan American Games Toronto 2015. The Organization of these Championships is a challenge for the Dominican Republic but we strongly believe that we count on the human and technical resources to give to our America a championship worthy of participate. Please find enclosed the competition calendar with the Rules and Regulations which guide these Championships. GENERAL CONDITIONS XXIV SENIOR PAN AMERICAN CHAMPSIONSHIPS SANTO DOMINGO 2014 MAY 25TH TO JUNE 2ND 1. COMPETITION REGULATION AND RULES The competitions will be held in accordance with the Rules of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) 2013-2016 and will be under the control of the Pan American Federation. Participants must be born until 1999 (15 years old) 2. COMPETITION AND TRAINING VENUE Competitions will take place in the Pabellon de Halterofilia, Dr. Jose J. Puello, located in the East Sport Park, Santo Domingo Province, and the training venue will be the same pavilion. 3. DATE From May 25th and June 2nd, 2014 Arrival of delegations: 25th y 26th May 2014 Departure of delegations: 02nd June 2014 4. EVENTS The bodyweight categories will be as established by the IWF, according to the bodyweight: WOMEN: 48 Kg, 53 kg, 58 kg, 63 kg, 69 kg, 75 kg, +75 kg. MEN: 56 kg, 62 kg, 69 kg, 77 kg, 85 kg, 94 kg, 105 kg, +105 kg 5

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS Participation Fee (including food, accommodation and local transportation) Single room: $80.00 USD, per person / per night / all included Double room: $70.00 USD, per person / per night / all included Accommodation: BelleVue Dominican Bay, located in Boca Chica. BARBELL. IWF approved ELEIKO barbells will be used in competitions and training. 6
8. FINAL VERIFICATION Will be held on May 27th at 08:00 hours 9. TECHNICAL MEETING Will be held on May 27th at 09:00 hours 10. DOPING CONTROL. Doping Control will be conducted in accordance with the IWF Anti-Doping Policy. 11. AWARDS. Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total will be awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals for the First, Second and Third place respectively. A trophy will be awarded for the best team in Men and Women A trophy will be awarded for the best lifter in Men and Women. 12. NATIONAL ANTHEM / FLAG. Please bring your National Anthem and your flag. 13. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS. Will be appointed by the PAWF, which will be exempt of payment of accommodation, food and local transportation. 14. VARIOUS.
