The children had a choice of two films, Lego Ninja and Paddington 2. A big thank you to the FOWMS team for organising this and buying the sweets and drinks for the children.

Small Schools Rule! On the 20th April our two girls, Daisy-May Cole and Tilly Duckworth, joined their Small School s Football team at Southdowns College for a football tournament. They played brilliantly, winning all 4 of their group games: 1-0, 5-0, 2-0, 3-0. They made it through to the semi-final against Denmead Junior and won 2-0 and then played Herne A in the final, narrowly losing 2-1. What an amazing achievement! They should be very proud of themselves.. Art Workshop On Saturday 28th April some of our children took part in an Art Workshop at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. They had a great time and a big thank you to Fran and Martin Attard for taking some fabulous photo s. You can view these on our website under the Children s tab>school Gallery.

The winners of the Matchbox Challenge have been announced and certificates given out to the children. 17 children entered and between them raised (after costs of matchboxes and prizes) an AMAZING 226 which will be used toward the school s IT upgrade. Just imagine how much we could have raised if half or even all the children took part? support! FOWMS There were some really interesting entries. Matchboxes and contents are available if you would like anything back. Just pop into the office. Thank you very much to the children and parents for your On Friday 11th May and Saturday 12th May, some of our children, past and present, will be performing Around the World in 80 Days at the Village Hall. Tickets can be obtained online at www.westmeontheatre.co.uk or you can pop into the office for a leaflet containing booking details. Gardening Club Our budding gardeners have been very busy tidying up the beds with Mrs Lailey. Ron Stone, author of West Meon Remembered, very kindly donated an Everlasting Sweet Pea to our gardening club. The children planted this just by the early years play area.

Reminders On week beginning 8th May our Year 4/5 children will be taking part in Bikeability. Please make sure their bikes are road ready. Y6 SATS week start Monday 14th May so there will be no more SATS club as Monday 7th May is a bank holiday. After Y6 SATS they will be going to Fairthorne Manor for a well deserved break. Medical questionnaires have already been sent out so if your haven t returned these we would like them back as soon as possible. There will be a FOWMS meeting on Wednesday 9th May. Please try to come along as we value your input.
