Tryout Clinic: Monday March 19- Wednesday March 21 st from 4:30-6:30 in the Arena Tryouts: Thursday, March 22 nd beginning with Seniors at 4:00. Teams will be posted on Friday, March 23 rd by 6pm on the FCHS Athletic Website
Tryouts are closed to all outside spectators. NO CELL PHONES- if there is an emergency, please call the school Please dress appropriately and secure hair away from the face. Students are not allowed to wear jewelry of any kindrings, nose rings, earrings, belly piercings, etc. are all prohibited. No outside gym clothing during tryouts, please. Everyone must wear black shorts, white fitted shirt, and a white bow on the final day of tryouts. Please wear compression shorts under shorts. Participants should stay on task and remember the entire process is a tryout Don t forget your positive attitude!
Varsity Football/Basketball/Competition: open to 9-12 grades, according to skill level JV Football/Competition: open to 9-11 grades, according to skill level Must be passing 5 out of 7 classes, and passed 5 out of 7 classes for the Fall 2017 semester. Have a current athletic physical on file in the FCHS athletic office- MUST be turned in to Brenda Hamilton in the front office- NOT THE COACHES!
Participate in all fundraisers and community service activities. Maintain high academic standards and moral standards. Attend all choreography sessions. Attend all games and practices. Participate in all pre/post-game activities and preparations. Participate in all play-off games regardless of holidays and All-star Cheerleading. Abide by Cheerleading Handbook and FCHS Student Handbook. If there are conflicts, the athlete should meet with the coach - in advance!

Serve on committees for Booster Clubthere is a lists of Board Positions and Committee Chair members on the last page of the packet Participate in fundraisers set by the coach Homecoming and Senior Night preparation Pre- Game/ Pre- Competition Meals Attend games and competitions Provide transportation when needed We cannot run a successful program without the support of our parents!!
Must pass 5 out of 7 classes for GHSA eligibility Physical Form, Participation Waiver and Concussion Awareness forms are required to participate. You can find them at http://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/page/45629 Coaches Evaluation, as applicable, and Teacher Evaluation as well as Online Application are also required to participate. ALL forms must be submitted to COACH EDWARDS BY 4pm on Mar. 12, 2018 in Room 209. This is a firm deadline.
Coaches Evaluation Required for any cheerleader that has not previously cheered at FCHS. MUST be completed by SCHOOL coach. IF you have not had prior SCHOOL cheer experience, please do not complete an evaluation form. Teacher Evaluation Must be completed by all teachers and submitted to Coach Edwards, Room 209 in paper form no later than Mar. 12, 2018 at 4:00 pm. All squads require hard work and dedication! No one is guaranteed a spot on any team even if you were on the team before. Each athlete is judged individually on their skills. Picking the team is like putting together pieces of a puzzle. We are looking for well-rounded athletes for all teams. All decisions made by the Coaches are FINAL.
