You can see the correct easureent for each aid by ooking at the pictures. Make sure the person wi not fa over and injure hisef when he does the exercises. 0 The aid ust not rub or press on the skin. You ust be very carefu with peope who have no feeing in their skin, as with eprosy. 0 Make sure the aid is cofortabe to use. a Sooth a rough surfaces and reove a corners and sharp edges. 0 Make sure that ropes and ties do not cut into the skin. HNTS ON MAKNG THE ADS You can ake a the aids in the book using oca aterias and skis. A you need is wood or baboo, with nais, string and coth. 0 Handicapped peope can ake these aids. You can ake foot and hand vices to hep the hod the wood in pace whie they work (see page two). You can ake a weight by fiing a piece of coth with sand, cay or stones. This is shown on page 17. 0 You can adjust hand or finger exercises to suit the strength of the person who wi use the. The thicker the wood, the ore strength the person wi need to do the exercise. You can ake the wood easy to bend by thinning it. When you ake the exercisers which need a ateria that wi stretch, you can use pieces of od rubber inner tube cut fro a car or bicyce tyre.
