All entrants must have read and be familiar with the Colorado State Fair General Terms and Conditions, General Livestock Competition Requirements, and Health Requirements. When applicable all association rules shall apply. 2. All entrants for livestock exhibited in Open, Breed, or Market competitions shall provide a premises identification number at the time of entry. 3. There will be no outside bedding allowed on the State Fairgrounds. The Colorado State Fair Management is making it mandatory for all exhibitors to purchase their animal bedding through the Colorado State Fair Feed/Bedding Concessionaire. If you choose to violate this rule and bring your own bedding, you will be asked to remove it from the grounds immediately! This competition requirement will be strictly enforced by the Colorado State Fair Management team. 4. Original registration papers must be available for inspection at the show. Owner is responsible for entering animal in correct class. 5. The Mountains and Plains Texas Longhorn Association offers 25% of the total premiums including Champion classes. The Colorado State Fair will pay 75% in premiums including Champion classes. 6. The Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America, P. O. Box 4430, Ft. Worth, TX 76164 and The Mountains and Plains Texas Longhorn Association, Lana Pearson, Treasurer, P.O. Box 185, Fowler, CO 81039, approve this show and classes. 7. To be eligible to show, all animals must be 120 days of age or older on the date of show and be registered with the T.L.B.A.A. Any animal with a pending registration at time of entry application must present a photocopy, facsimile or original registration certificate on arrival at the show. Registration papers of all animals will be inspected and compared with the animal at the show and must be entered and shown under the name of the recorded owner, no crossbreds are eligible. 8. The owner of cattle entered and shown in this show must be a member in good standing of the T.L.B.A.A. Exhibitors in the halter section must wear a standard exhibitor number belt clip on left side, for all halter classes. Exhibitor numbers are provided. 9. All bulls shown in the halter division must be shown with a nose lead. See official TLBBA Handbook for shown bulls. 10. No animal shall be eligible to compete in more than one class within the same age group; i.e. halter entries are ineligible for loose classes and vice versa.

11. Animals presented to the judge are to be washed, brushed, and combed. Specifically prohibited is sanding and polishing of horns; polishing of hooves. Non-coloration fly sprays are permitted. Trimming of excess hair is permitted. 12. The alteration of physical features and appearance of any animal by cosmetic and/or surgical means including but not limited to the weighting of horns are deemed unethical practices and will be grounds for disqualification. See General Livestock Competition Requirements, unethical practices. 13. All females 30 months of age or older must have her nursing calf (205 days old or less) at side or be pregnancy tested safe in calf and indicated on the health certificate. All nursing calves shown with dams must be eligible for registration, no crossbreed calves. Calves with dams shown in the halter division must be halter broke and shown at halter. 14. The show management reserves the right to disqualify and remove any animal from competition that is deemed unmanageable and entry fees shall be forfeited. 15. Any protest must be presented in writing as stated in General Competition Requirements. 16. Cattle will be received through Livestock Gate #4 (off Mesa Ave) and will be housed in the Livestock Barn pens and tie-rails. Holding pens are reserved for pen entries only. 17. There is no limit to the number of animals an exhibitor may enter in this show or in any one of these classes. Premiums will be paid in accordance with the premium schedule listed in this division.
