What is the Charity Challenge? The Charity Challenge is an annual fundraising event participated in by employees and alumni of NMG. For three months of the year, employees across the business run, walk, swim and cycle all in the name of raising miles and money for local South African charities. For each mile completed, NMG will donate 5 ZAR towards our nominated charities. Charity Challenge, 2016 dates: 1 June 31 August 3
What have we raised in the past? Here s a look at the success of the Charity Challenge in years gone by, all thanks to the hard work and support of our employees! 2014: ZAR 928, 554 2015: ZAR 1,190,588 2016: It s up to you! 4
A Focus on Fitness and Wellness Fitness and wellness continues to be the primary focus of the Charity Challenge, however there are other ways you can raise money to support our nominated charities. You can raise money through other activities (see slides 12 and 13). And from your fundraising efforts, NMG will match every dollar, Rand, Ringgit and Pound raised. 5
Who does the Charity Challenge support? In 2016, the funds raised through the Charity Challenge will go to four deserving charities: 1. Elundini (Cape Town) 2. Tembisa Child Welfare (Johannesburg) 3. Uviwe (Port Elizabeth) 4. Thanda (Durban) Go to the charities page on our website for more information about each worthy charity. If you know of a charity that needs our support, send your proposal to Emilie Bell for our 2017 charity review. 6
