9 1 3 1 : F o r m a l W e a r D e s i g n a n d C o n s t r u c t i o n 4 0 S / 4 0 E / 4 0 M Course Description This advanced course gives an overview of formal wear techniques. Students study the anatomy, theory, and evolution of formal gowns. Students will design and construct a lined gown from the sewing and patternmaking portfolios created. Goal 1: Describe and apply health and safety practices. GLO 1.1: Describe and apply appropriate health and safety practices.
