Grand Worthy President Passes Away - 4 - Fraternal Order of Eagles Grand Worthy President (GWP) Chuck Lang passed away on Dec. 22, 2015. Lang was a member of Harvey, ND, Aerie #3080, where he had proudly served since April 14, 1980. Brother Lang held many positions on the local and state levels, including Dakota State President in 2001, before beginning his ascent through the Grand Aerie chairs, serving as Grand Outside Guard. Brother Lang continued his involvement with the Grand Aerie through 2015, when he was installed as Grand Worthy President during the International Convention in Milwaukee, WI. He was a longtime auctioneer of construction equipment, utilizing his skills throughout the world. Brother Lang put his golden voice to use for the Eagles on several occasions, serving as the auctioneer for the organization s annual live auction to benefit the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center. His installation as Grand Worthy President and his induction into the Dakota State Eagles Hall of Fame were among his proudest moments as a member. JPGWP Bud Haigh Assumes GWP Duties Due to the unfortunate passing of sitting GWP Chuck Lang, the Grand Aerie has made two changes to the current lineup of officers in order to fill the responsibilities of the Grand Worthy President s Office. Effective December 29, JPGWP Elwin Bud Haigh, assumed the office of GWP while PGWP David Tice returned to assume the JPGWP/Chairman of the Board of Grand Trustees duties. These changes will remain in effect through the remainder of the 2015-2016 fraternal year. All other Grand Aerie Officer positions will remain the same.
