GET YOUR SKILLS ON WITH FRUIT SHOOT S NICKELODEON SKILLS CREW London 25 th June 2013 Grab your skateboard, hop on your BMX or dribble your basketball to your nearest shopping centre, as Fruit Shoot s Nickelodeon Skills Crew is coming to a town near you! Robinson s Fruit Shoot and Nickelodeon have once again teamed up to bring you Fruit Shoot s Nickelodeon Skills Crew Tour. The nationwide shopping centre tour invites families with children aged 7 to 9 to show off their impressive skills, whether this be in football, street dance, gymnastics, as a percussionist and anything in between all active skills are counted. To help inspire and motivate kids from across the UK to get involved and get active, Fruit Shoot and Nickelodeon have recruited a formidable Skills Crew, a seven-strong troop of skilled record breakers who will be touring the country giving kids the chance to try out a variety of active skills. At each stop of the tour, kids can meet the crew, watch them perform their amazing skills and even have one-to-one coaching with them as they share some of their awesome skills. Fruit Shoot s Nickelodeon Skills Crew Tour will be visiting the following destinations: Westfield Stratford, London: 15th & 16th June Bullring, Birmingham: 22nd & 23rd June Braehead, Glasgow: 29th & 30th June Westfield London: 6th & 7th July
Nickelodeon s cameras will also be on hand at each stage of the tour to capture kids performances. The videos will then be uploaded to the Fruit Shoot Skills Zone at nick.co.uk/fruitshoot, where kids are in with a chance of being shortlisted for the new Breakthrough Award at the second annual Fruit Shoot Skills Awards, which will take place at the IndigO2 and will be shown on Nickelodeon in September. For those kids that can t make it down to one of the regional tour dates, they simply need to head to the Fruit Shoot Skills Zone at nick.co.uk/fruitshoot to watch tutorials with the Skills Crew. Alternatively, kids can upload a video of their best active skill from body popping to amazing scooter tricks - to be in with a chance of being shortlisted for the Breakthrough Award. Nominees for the Fruit Shoot Nickelodeon Skills Awards 2013 will be announced at the end of July and kids can then go online to vote for their favourite in the Breakthrough Award category. The winners of the remaining categories will be voted for by a panel of Nickelodeon UK and Fruit Shoot judges. Laura Kicks Skill: Football Freestyler From: Italy AKA: Laura Biondo Laura Kicks is one of the most renowned Football Freestylers in the world, and it s obvious why! Her ball skills wow the crowds and it s true what they say about keeping your eye on the ball, because when Laura s around you never know what might happen! But one thing is pretty much certain, that ball won t touch the ground!
